Great for a quick trips but you're better off doing your major grocery shopping at Shaw's in Porter . The meat is about 10x better than the Johnnie's Foodmaster previously at this location.
Good for if you need an item or two, but not a lot of variety.
Kind of tight quarters but so nice to have another supermarket option in the Somerville/Medford area. RIP Johnny's Foodmaster
A step up from Food Master, but still a Somerville grocery store ..
FYI, the former supermarket in this location was Johnny's Foodmaster, not Market Basket (who has better prices than pretty much everyone).
This place is SO much more expensive than the Market Basket that used to be here!! I just bought a cantelope, strawberries and grapes - $16... Wtf!!
Nice, clean , professional.
These are called Giant everywhere else I've seen it. Not the best area.
Thankfully, this former Johnnie's Foodmaster was turned into a Stop & Shop and not a Whole Foods ...
Took me three passes to find the baking section. It's the one aisle with different signs at either end, one over from the veggies . Bad signage.
Deli counter guys on Tuesday mornings rock!!
Not conveniently located.
this is NOT whole foods
I love sitting at the huge tables they have and just drink coffee. It's clean and the atmosphere is really relaxed and quiet. - Nkemji Oguekwe
Awesome combo of great prices and rare finds not at most supermarkets. - Alex Dobyan
This place seems to be having a real tough time keeping a working freezer. Ice cream is nearly almost soft. Other than that, happy this spot is a convenience store again. - Chris Brook
The ladies who work the counter are the nicest people i've ever met - Tayla Boos
The scones are delicious, especially toasted in a sandwich press (too crumbly for a toaster.) - Trisha Craig
