Nice little restaurant in Chinatown. The dan dan and beef noodles were excellent and appeared fresh, but the Baozi buns were the main reason of why I choose to eat there. They were delicious.
Kitschy warren serving spicy Northern Chinese carbs: dumplings , noodles , braises with sticky rice , and the eponymous steamed buns . Read more
Less frantic & more authentic than many Chinatown establishments. Proper Sichuan fare - beware - not for the faint-hearted as serious spice & sour tangs rule. Yum.
Was craving some spicy Sichuanese so got me some dumplings . Very tasty and hit the spot. Will get the noodles next time... ????
Quite an interesting experience, the noodles with beef were an intriguing and rich take on bolognese . The dumplings were super flavourful too. Clean and efficient service .
Everything here is fire. Don't leave without getting the spicy beef noodles , Dan Dan noodles , and spicy tripe !
I have only eaten the Guabao as a takeaway next door and the sichuan noodles ! But with that they impressed me ! Good taste and great value !
One of best Chinese places in c-town! But note it isn't like the other typical (Cantonese) restaurants . This is Beijing style. Dan dan mein is superb
The balance between filling and bun is off, but the taste is good. Would still recommend it.
Ah! As a Chinese northerner, the food tastes quite like home. Not fancy dishes but with "flavour of childhood". Ps. It's much more standard than the Parisian ones.
Great for a snack while on the move. Get a baozi or some skewers (if you like your chilli )
the pig intestine with 'glass' noodle is very spicy ! love it but the noodle is very slimey and not much pig intestine in it.. the spicy dumplings with garlic is a must try!
The menu has changed dramatically since I was last here. Food was still good but not as extensive. Some of the past favourites are gone.
Dan dan noodles and chengdu dumplings with garlic and chilli oil delicious! Small plates are actually quite big.
Steamed buns (house special ) very good, however I was a little disappointed by the garlic and chilli dumplings , the after taste was funny / bland. Great friendly service . Average prices
One of my favourite Chinese places in London. Portions are huge, as are the Baozi buns ! Great ambience.
The pork dumplings in garlic and chilli oil sauce are amaaazing!
Pork baozi ! Great as a quick meal on your way to a show and good value for money .
Minimum spend is £8 per person to sit in the restaurant . For a quick (and cheap ) baozi to go, go back outside and use the takeaway desk to the right of the restaurant .
Cash only ! Load up on delicious dumplings and baozi (hefty Chinese meat-filled buns )
Dumplings are good! Great cocktails too.
Try their take away baozis at the stall next door. Really tasty!
You absolutely must get the mapo tofu and some pork baozi
This chili oil dumpling is pretty good but price is on the high side.
Delicious dumplings with garlic and chilli ! Cash only
I tried chili pork ,and Three sides. Really cheap .But not very good. The pork was really greasy, more pieces fat then actual meat. only the seaweed side was ok. Maybe the noodles are better
Cash only ,last order at 10:30 pm. Good budget Chinese near Leicester Square tube station . Cool ambience.
Cash only , £8 minimum, fantastic, traditional Chinese food .
Stodge that needs spice and flavours
Must try the baozi bun !
Beware, spicy dishes are really spicy . Ask for eggplant with sesame seed paste or this soup .
钟水饺 are great and decent noodles too
Baozi buns and beef noodles are really nice :)
Quick and tasty chengdu style Street food
The baozi is good. Service can improve and restaurant team: stop with this trick of “the card machine stopped working” to force people to pay cash. Disingenuous and pushes loyal users out
Good place to stop by if your in the area
Not bad i would say. They serve big portion of noodles !! Affordable price.
spicy beef noodle soup : Wow! never have I eaten such greasy noodles . The half of the soup was literally chilli oil . Very dirty glasses and utensils. Expensive as hell! +2.50£ for a glass of coke .
dumplings are awesome
No more set menus is a bummer. Still great food though - can't go wrong with dan dab noodles and spicy cucumber salad
Spicy pork is not spicy . Spicy tofu is VERY spicy . Both are tasty but remember: this place is cash only .
Try the baozi, they're great!
Tried their takeaway next door : it's really cheap but it's only good if saving money is what you're after otherwise the food is just ok.
Beware for small appetite ppl! The noodle bowl is quite big!
Best Chinese noodle bar in town !!!
Oily soups and full of msg. Get Baozi (buns ) or dumplings because they probably have the least msg...
Really good and authentic budget Chinese fast food . Sit down lunch for about a tenner, and you're in and out in less than 45 minutes
chilli dumplings are excellent
Century eggs are my favourite
Noodles are quite good for a quick meal . Often, find them a bit overcooked though.
Just order everything. The noodle special is delicious. And oh my god the spicy tofu and seabass! So good! xxx - Jen Siddall
Really good Chinese food there. Quite small but good and cheap. Don't forget to get a bubble tea or a fruit milkshake for dessert. Recommended! - Florent Segouin
simply the best bun I’ve ever had and also super tasty dim sums - Petra Rosanics
Cool place to suit all! Nice bubble tea and people! - Paola Berta
Fresh Lemon Black Tea, cold, full sugar, less ice - best drink ???? ???? - Nataly Guryanova
Very nice fountain and gardens. The place is the heart of London. Extremely crowded during weekend nights! People from all over the world meet there! :-) - Andrea Lazzarini
