Gigs! Don't gather on the stairs like the rest of the fools, get up the left of the stage and get a great view and breathing room. Rough trade pub quiz on Mondays is a hoot.
Great bourbon selection . They had Van Winkle 20 year, and George T Staggs at alomst 15£, but they also had Blanton's and Bulleit for 3£
We went there randomly to watch a indie rock concert . Entry fee was reasonable at 8£ for three local somewhat famous bands. Recommended if you are into checking out the London underground rock scene.
A London music stalwart, The Lexington has in the past played host to bands such as Foals and Peace . It also stocks a fantastic range of craft beers and hosts a regular quiz night by Rough Trade .
Venue promoter known for booking soon-to-be-big bands early on - and there's a weekly music quiz run by Rough Trade East every Monday too. Multi-pack of crisps for the best team name. Nik Naks please.
Fantastic, intimate & lively live music venue upstairs . Great sound. FYI if you're eating in the pub downstairs, avoid the taxidermy corner. It smells of damp dog & puts you off your food.
Great venue for live music upstairs and nice bar downstairs.
Another great London music venue . Reasonable pub food mixed with grunge vibes.
Great staff , whiskey cocktails and music ????
Book a table if you like to seat down. Security guy is not the most polite person in the world. Personally I didn't enjoy the place because of crowd but pies are definitely worth trying !
Quirky interior makes this an awesome place to hangout. Great alcohol selection as well
Cool bar downstairs, intimate music venue upstairs . Check out the gig listings and club nights.
Rough Trade music pub quiz every Monday. Don't worry if your musical knowledge is poor; you can still win crisps for the best team name
Nice cozy music venue upstairs , though like most rock clubs gets a bit sweaty once the gigs get going.
Pay £5 and ask for their secret jar potion. If you're brave enough take a long sip!
Cosy rock pub with a friendly atmosphere . They put on lots of gigs here.
Very eclectic mix of live music upstairs. Great range of American beers downstairs.
One of my favourite venues in London, nice downstairs pub too. Avoid the camden hells, £4.50!
At the bar downstairs..you’ll drink bourbons you never knew existed: from Fighting Cock to Old Grandad. Just beware the Georgia Moon..which is served by from a jam jar and sold by the swig Read more

Great gigs, amazing selection of american whisky , and fun nights
The pub is spacious and quiet in the afternoon, great simple place.
So many beers to try. Also a great intimate music venue .
weekday lunch is half price, friday is the flagship indie disco , white light, and try the hirsch bourbon before it goes extinct, pricey but almost life affirming!
Good for bands and a relatively chilled out atmosphere. Not bad for another out on the weekend.
Very nice bar in Islington. There’s some sort of a night club upstairs
Small intimate rock venue
Of the the 4 Bourbons I've tried, the Eagle Rare 10 (single barrel) followed by the Weller 12.
The food is best avoided, but the drinks are plentiful & well selected!
Grab a beer before you head upstairs because they only have bottles.
Excellent live music venue .
Open until late and the music 's great!
Great place for a night out.
Great bourbon and whiskey cocktails !
Intimate venue for gigs and good line up all year round
Great bourbon selection
Incredible veggie burger .
cheap drinks , hot bartenders ....great gigs, the place to be!
Pub quizzes on Monday, loads of different bourbons and a monthly Nordic music clubnight.

The burger was surprisingly competent. Worth a look but make sure you've got a table booked at the weekend.
Good for gigs
Lovely Pub with great fois and live bands from 7:00 pm
My favourite indie music venue in London.
Everyone is taking about the Bourbon
The best venue
Pretty good place
liars! when they say they will reserve a space for 25 people they really mean they'll save you a space for 8!
Very cool pub .
Live music !
Fantastic rock bar with excellent beer. Always dark, usually loud, can get very busy. Great value street food often served late on the weekends. Gigs held upstairs, loud yet good sound system. - Sam M
Fantastic venue with consistently surprising great quality artists performing. - alfie dennen
Great music. Nice that the bar has tv screens and live feed for those that want to sit and chill. - MEL BROWN STUDIOS
Beautiful terrace. Usually very crowded but worth the wait. A little bit expensive but great option for a sunny day! Try the appletini and the Sunday brunch! - Kiara March
The bar at the top is often quieter than all the others. View of the stage from the rail on the second level is great - Richard Hare
Thursday nights are Brazilian Zouk nights @ Surya! Dance classes followed by club with brilliant music, friendly crowd. Had a great time! And it's an eco-friendly club- the only one in London - Nataliya Grigorova
