Elgin Street Diner

I'm from Quebec - have tried just about every poutine from Montreal to out in the countryside and Elgin Street Diner gives them all some stiff competition. One of the best poutines I've ever had!!

You have to try the OMG Benedict from the brunch menu ! Make sure to swap the homefries for their famous poutine !

Simply the best breakfast in Ottawa!! The hangover breakfast is so full of everything, didn’t need lunch that day!

Useful tip- it says you can upgrade your fries that come with a burger or sandwich for $3.49 but don't just pick the plain poutine . You can also upgrade it to ESD poutine (recommended!)

I had the regular pancaked with sliced banana , it was really good and very filling. I would defintly recommand eating here!

You can jack up your poutine by requesting 1/2 fries & 1/2 onion rings ! Try with the ESD poutine topped w/ bacon !

I always order the hangover breakfast its very filling and delicious. It comes with eggs , beans, poutine , sausage and toast .

if you are 2 and both want to sit in the booth side by side ...there is a diagonal booth in the left rear corner of the restaurant .

Head there after the bars for a late night smoked meat poutine - the grease'll soak up some of the alcohol you just consumed! ;)

No Quebec poutine but I can't count the number of times I've had their 4 cheese poutine late at night. Often good for 2 people!

Definitely recommend the ESD poutine and/or 4 cheese poutine .. or any of their poutines ... DELICIOUS!
