I brought my son here and he had a blast seeing and getting up close to the aircraft . Kids 5 and under are free to get in. We spent about 3 hours there because he didn't want to leave.

The COOLEST air museum with two hangars chock full of historical aircraft , and a third housing one currently in the restoration process. Tarmac views straight onto the main runway.
Talk to the docents . They are amazingly knowledgeable and have great stories!
Great for kids who love airplanes and you can even see some taking off and arriving at the nearby active airport that adjoins the museum lot. With a toddler, we were able to get through it in 60 mins.
Amazing collection of bomber and fighter airplanes from World War II as well as Korean and Vietnam Wars. Must see include Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and Curtiss P40 Warhawk.
David grove- Korea Victory squadron was a cool guy with lots of great historical information. He walked with us and made it into a tour basically!!!;-)
Great volunteer staff . Nice exhibits although there are some typos. Lots and lots of planes to see.

Recommend taking a tour with one of the docents ...Also, you can take helicopter tours through the air museum .
it was neet seeing the old planes and how they were painted back then and the hanger is big and you can go inside most of the planes and see how it was like

Sign up as a member and get a lot more visits in, plus noticed about special events like B-17 rides. Well worthwhile.
