Mi Nidito has been serving Tucson since 1952. It was then that a couple from Sonora made a decision that is still impacting the lives of their family three generations later. The decision was between opening a Mexican food restaurant or a tortilla factory...

The chile rellno they make is the BEST! Always a waiting list, but it is worth your time!!! Good thing to know: Put in your name and order one of their MANY Margaritas ...(or 2) for the wait! Nummmmy!
Best Mexican food in the Southwest. My wife is Mexican and she says it’s incredibly authentic . We were there on Wednesday at 2:40 pm MT and there was a 20-minute wait. Tells you all you need to know.
The President’s Plate should come with a cigar and a handbag after my meal. Good Mexican at a good price.
Our waiter at the Marriott said this is the only place that makes better tamales than he does - and they were great! Cheese tostada with guacamole was a great starter.
The Birria dishes will rock your cabeça! Slow-cooked all day, this marinated seasoned beef will keep you coming back for more.
Best chile rellno ever - hands down. The flat enchiladas are excellent too, but just know they are made w/masa so are thicker than "regular" enchiladas - but delicious!
The presidents plate is perfect so you don't have to chose you try everything. It is A LOT of food though.
On a health kick? Try their "health" taco made with melted cheese , avocado , tomato , onion , sprouts.
Love their tacos and Hot salsa . Lourdes (Lou Lou) is the BEST waitress ever.
The best carne seca EVER ! Not to be missed! Carne Seca chimichanga , enchilada style.
The chile rellino is awesome!! And be careful with the margaritas , they sneak up on you like a ninja, lol.
One of my favorites. Always great; generous portions .
Order a half-and-half margarita if you can't decide which to get.
Chips and salsa were nothing special, but the chile relleno is fantastic. Anything with their shredded beef is also really good.
Best waitress in town and at mi nidito "lulu" ask to get seated with her
I love this place. Everything is amazing
Try the President’s plate if it’s your first time in!
The presidential special was featured on man vs. food but I recommend the ground beef tacos !
wish i was able to eat my food hot (its my fault, not the restaurant ) but even cold, it was good
Best house made salsa and chips I've tastes so far!
Love the carne seca and chicken flautas ! Delicious
Always come early and/or prepare to wait. But how ever long the wait... well worth it every time!!
Great food! I love green chile !
Literally anything on the menu will be great, you can't go wrong here! But get a side of the jalepenos , so delicious!
Home to the President’s Plate . As seen on Travel Channel’s Man v. Food Nation.
The chile relleno and cheese enchilada where the business
Always a line for the best Mexican food in town
They’re closed Monday and Tuesday
Best Mexican food myself and the fiancé have had in almost 10 years!
Get the President Clinton special, and split it. It's enormous!
Our favorite place after a good visit at Sports Authority :)
Check out Mi Nidito as seen on Man vs Food Read more
Was expecting more considering the reviews I've read and heard but was not impressed..mild sauce tasted like canned tomato sauce and my taco had a burger patty in it?!?!? I will keep searching...
Please order the cheese crisp!
Best micheladas ever;)
Solid Mexican food
Awesome food the best ever. Get the tortilla soup
Just because Slick Willy ate here doesn't constitute it as top foods in Tucson.
Green chile enchiladas are mind-blowing
Great birria and carne seca !
Come early, there is always a line , opens at 11 am
President's Plate
40 minute wait on a Wednesday...? Yeah, it's worth it.
Margaritas use to be the best so I didn't mind waiting one or two hours ... Not so much anymore Margaritas are just not good anymore !
Closed on Monday and Tuesday :(
Food is okay. Service is crap. Came twice and wasn't impressed at all. Come once because of its history and that's enough.
Best margaritas in Tucson.
There’s always a wait and the food is overrated. Overpriced also.
My Little Nest...aww.... Let's see how the mexican food is here?!?!
Closed on Monday and Tuesday :-(
Excellent red menudo, served everyday, not just on the weekends! - Atomic Pop
I recommend the BBQ chimichanga to anybody! - Vevek Parikh
carne seca, fresh salsa, cold tecate on tap, the lunch buffet is a good deal - James Arrr
Yes the tickets and all that is expensive but the theaters are amazing and bigger then Cinemax at park place. Worth the over $20 spending????. - Angel Rojas
I've been coming here since the late '90's when I lived in Tucson and worked at ADEQ. The patio area is always great for brooding over a cup of joe (Cowboy Coffee), and having your dog at your side. - FrecklesUSA
Loved this place! Historic and very interesting... No tax in the gift shop (it's on an Ajo Indian Reservation)... the homemade flatbread vendor in the parking lot was well worth a stop! - Dan Mullen
