Best zoo I have ever seen. Animals are nearby, habitats are realistic and it is obvious the animals are well cared for. I will be back next time I visit Seattle!
The kids love playing on the boat by the penguins. The Northern area has an indoor space where kids can see the otters swimming . I’ve heard the zoomazium is a lot of fun too but closed during COVID.
This is one of the most beautiful zoos I've ever visited. Very cleverly designed, but also considerate of how much space the residents need.
Our first time here and it was really amazing experience! Experience new and rare creatures and animals never seen before in person. Next time we in town will visit again.
Make sure to get in early to avoid the crowds and check the daily schedule for shows/exhibit info. Example: Yola the baby gorilla is only on exhibit for a few hours each day at this time.
This is an excellent place to visit and to explore the information about various kind of animals and birds. I love to visit their and always enjoyed a lot.
WildLights - an inventive way to enjoy the night with your kiddo. Wander through the indoor Day Exhibit to spy boas, the tree kangaroo, and crocs while you warm up.
The play place is our favorite place to visit at the end of the animals or just for a rainy day.

Very well maintained zoo . Mornings are better compared to afternoons. Animals do like their nap after lunch ;)
Over the years this zoo has been overhauled and expanded, with lush, updated and expansive naturalistic habitats . Every animal you want to see is here.
Go when its rainy! There will be more parking available, fewer crowds, and sometimes its easier to see some animals because they're in their covered areas!
If you can't see the snow leopard , try standing in front of the raptor barn, facing west, and look up. Sometimes the snow leopard likes to people watch too!!

Lots of fun for kids . Feeding the ducks is a favorite.
Got a free sea turtle bobble-head at the gift shop for my first check in! Also, best looking male lion I've seen in a zoo , he even roared!
Boring. Maybe because I've been to Animal Kingdom at Disney though. All the animals here were either sleep or hidden behind all the junk in their habitat .. Also the paper map is highly innacurate.
Download the woodland park zoo app on your mobile to get a special daily activity schedule, animal feedings, a digital map and more.
Pretty good zoo . Sometimes it can be hard to see some of the animals. Also food prices are high so bring your lunch .
The Asian Small Clawed Otters were adorable!
There is always something new. Check their website to see if a rainy day discount is being offered.

Bring your kids here to wear them out, while enjoying the Seattle summer.
Hardly any of the animals were out. It was disappointing to my little girl. And the pathways need some work. If you have mobility issues some of them can be tricky.
