ACME Markets

In the 11 years I've lived in Jersey City, this is THE best local grocery store . It's very clean , has a great selection, and the check out line always surprises me how fast it goes.

So much better than the Hoboken location! Skip the produce, but the seafood , deli and meat departments are well above par and there are great deals to be found in the inner aisles.

If you don't have an A&P card (and you don't want one) you can ask the cashier to scan the store card for you and you'll still get the deals!

Rotten food. Not sure how the DOH let's this place stay open.. black loaves of bread in the back, fuzzy heirloom tomatoes , and check out the lemon & clementine pics.

Open late but make sure you get there before 9 for the deli and fresh foods

Always peaceful shopping here. A far change from the ShopRite a few blocks away.

Large store, good prices & selection. Clean & comfortable to shop in.

Don't come to the deli for cold cuts on Sundays. It's super slow with minimal workers. I come almost every Sunday and get mad at myself for this self inflicted torture. LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO

The parking lot isn't overcrowded like the Jersey City Shoprite next to BJ's.

A great alternative to the Shop Rite down the street. you pay more but at least you feel safe here.

Get a cart before you walk in. They are easy to find... Scattered throughout the parking lot

Terrible selection in the shampoo/soap isle. Decent produce but they tend to run out of a lot of their stock come Sunday night/Monday. Still beats Shoprite .

Get to the deli counter early, if not be prepared to wait...and wait.

if you are really cheap , park your car here and walk to the PATH in Hoboken . It's like a 25 min to walk to the train station but the parking is free.

What is with these lines on Sunday? What a waste of our time. Spent a half hour picking through the poor selection of fruits and veggies only to give up and abandon the cart once we saw the lines .

Poor selection and store is unclean, especially the restroom .

Nothing is good here. It's closest in proximity to my home but since ACME took over the space, it's been the worst. Service, price, quality.

The signage in the pharmacy is all wrong and the carts are at the exit not the entrance. Wtf?

Marta in the Pharmacy Dept. Knows her stuff. Stay away from CVS and other Mega pharmacys , stay local

Avoid going on Sunday, there's always long lines .

Do not park here if you're not shopping here. My dad tried it and got towed!
