You would never go wrong in this place. Quality price is really good. Go for the rice and try different meats ... all of them are a good choice. Skip the chicken

A Japanese BBQ where you cook your own food on a grill in the middle of the table. They offer reduced prices everyday from 11:30-3:00 and from 4:30-6:00. They also have daily drink specials .

Amy Graff

Service a little hit or miss but their happy hour (go in before 6) rules. Fun, tasty, interactive yakiniku . Get, uh, the meat. And the bibimbap . Set menus are plentiful and awesome from hungry groups.

Bobby C

Heads-up: Their meat portions are huge. “For 2 people” could easily feed 3, maybe 4. Insanely delicious, with chill wait staff (and on the night we were there, a stellar 90s playlist).

I decided to try Gyu-Kaku based on the good reviews that I read here and they were completely right! food is amazing, we had lots of fun preparing our own BBQ and the service is great! Worth going!

Pocket Sun

A very popular Japanese BBQ spot in Streeterville. Usually there's a wait among a lot of Asians :) Reasonable prices but add up quickly. Go for happy hours . Their cocktails are really light.

Eric Somogyi

Everything on the menu is great. Excellent service . The portions are smaller than you'd expect, so order more than you think you'd eat, especially during happy hour !

Chin Don Sang

Very similar to Korean grilled BBQ style. Kindly reminder to make a reservation before walking in to prevent long waiting queue.

Jacob Krall

The BBQ and appetizers are great. Expect a very, very long wait on weekends and holidays. You can order from the kitchen at the bar on the 2nd floor.

Grace C

Must get harami skirt steak ! The Kalbi short ribs are a little too fatty for me. Bibimibap was amazing along with s'mores . Filet mignon is only ok. Chicken was pretty good.

Ed Kirk

Amazing food at steep prices. Multiple plates add up quickly. Worth trying at least once. Garlic noodles on the side are delicious and filling.

Kay R.

Excellent fire course. Premium meat is also nice. Will come again!

Erika Davis

Super busy so I recommend making a reservation for sure. Meats are all good, but definitely try the veggies too!

Andrew

This was my first experience with Japanese BBQ and it was amazing. Everything we had was delicious.

Jean Helm

The combos are a great deal for families. Try the green tea ice cream .

Lili Borba

The meat is delicious and the grill and service are very good! ????????????????

L K

If it's your first time, get one of the pre-set meals. It's a good intro.

Brandon

Always fun! We are big eaters so get the meal for 4 for 2 people and meal for 6 for 4 people

Deniz E

Kalbi soup , spicy tuna over crispy rice , spicy cucumbers

Lu Ee Wong

Happy hour lunch special is the best! Get the meat lovers set! It's amazing!

Roque Pinel

The kobe steak and the kalbi short ribs are amazing! Even better with a good drink like the lychee mojito .

Jingyan

We got Kobe style beef , scallop , lamb chop . All solid

Julia K

Really fun date spot . The garlic rice is phenomenal. All of the food is amazing.

Viral PR

Interactive (cook-you-own) Japanese BBQ . The higher floors (yes, it's more than the first level) offer fun seating arrangements.

Jean Helm

We had a geisha course for 2. More food than we could eat

ISC Chicago

For everyone not from Chicago...This "Japanese BBQ" is really a Korean BBQ spot but good regardless. Good food, good atmosphere.

Cynthia G

Harami skirt steak is always great. Also try the sukiyaki bibimbop ! I can eat the whole bowl even though I usually watch the carbs

Dalia Zaghaba

Harami Skirt Steak ... one of their best choices !!
