Nice walking trails on the levees of the bay , nice views ,,walk all the way to shoreline from palo alto, dogs must be on leash..bikes permitted..fishing in mayfield slough..
You can get (almost) here from downtown Palo Alto on a free Stanford shuttle, route TECH.
A patch of wild nature right in the middle of Silicon Valley.
This used to be the landfill. Good for running, not exceptionally pretty really.
