Eggs Benedict and home fries were perfect; nice and spicy (and strong) Bloody Mary's , too. All of my friends loved their dishes--the egg sandwich with avocado looked especially good.

Chill spot on the hill , good food and drinks. good place to people watch for congressman. everyone there is really cool. nice to have a non pretentious bar on the hill .
Had brunch , it was lovely. Comfort food in a beautiful space. The staff was super friendly . Try the breakfast sandwich best bacon I've ever had!
Spacious and attractive interior. Stands out among the more dive-like bars nearby.
Place looks nice and clean , maybe not very 'authentic ' anymore but definitely nice. Flatbreads are bona fide pizzas and are great to share for 2 pple.
Lots of political art , and amazing chandeliers throughout the restaurant . Great mimosas too!
Totally redone...huge bar with even bigger flatscreens upstairs and downstairs....good food and drink. Needless to say the Hawk is back!
Food blogger Lawyer Mama says this place is a must for political junkies. Often you’ll find only Capitol Hill staffers , but their bosses show up from time to time, too.
Beautiful and the food is tasty. They were out of almost every beer my husband tried to order though.
Nice place for a quick bite . Good appetizers and service!
Food isn't noteworthy but what else is new on the Hill . Although it's now a restaurant , the happy hour crowd dominated the dining area--super loud , 7 people crammed around a 4-top,etc. Nice renovation
The name refers to general positions on U.S. national security policy. TVs are tuned to CNN. Regardless, this is a good bar , with cheaper drinks than you'll get elsewhere in the neighborhood .
Drinks are good but thats about it. Its a cool neighborhood spot to people watch and stuff
Delicious brunch ! I recommend the French Toast !!
Great for brunch - try the egg sandwich . My bacon was delicious!
Great atmosphere and friendly staff . Best place for Sunday football !
Completely renovated - very nice. Sirloin and baked rigatoni are delicious!
Very underwhelming. Margarita was made with a mix, chips and French onion dip was bland and flavorless. It's a bad sign when the best thing I had was the water.
Congratulations, you've found one of Esquire's Best Bars in America. If you're talking to a low-level Congressional staffer ? You're in the right place. Read more
Great TVs . Perfect place to watch the game and eat brunch !
First time here on my lunch break try the the Bells 2 Heart, and Johnny Appleseed Hard Cider
I miss the old grimey version. What can I say, I'm a dive bar kind of guy from South Louisiana
Art is sweet, I miss the nooks from the original but this one is good reincarnation
Nice drink selection and attentive bartenders , but the service in the main dining room sucks...
Storm makes the best mojito I have ever tasted!!!!
Make friends with the bartenders . Free shots!
Nice renovations , but this place may have the worst art I've ever seen. Charcoal Clinton is what nightmares are made of.
Whatever happened to the crab reuben ?
Politics and Pints every Monday night at 7pm hosted by the College Republican National Committee.
The Turkey burgers are great.
Drinks drinks drinks
The Old English burger is a must. Get it with grilled onions .
Nothing special here. The restaurant is pretty and the pizza was very good.
One of DC's longest-standing sports bars that's been serving suds since 1967. [Thrillist]
3 dollar bloody marys , mimosa , and screwdrivers weekend days!
Miller 64 in bottles....yum!
Decent bt not over the top.
One thing the renovation couldn't eradicate: The rancid smell.
They don't sell the salmon anymore. It's tuna now.....but for the same frickin' price. Really?
Just watched this cook in the OPEN kitchen shovel food into his face & stand there chewing in front of the window. Yuck.
Don't leave your jackets unattended. Stuff is stolen from here all the time.
The food is nothing special and slightly overpriced. The service was horrible- both during happy hour and during lunch .
The dance floor usually peaks about 12.30 am on Sunday nights.
First. This place has changed...
Waitress gave me the stankface and a solo cup ...
Make friends with Edgar. He rocks.
Haha this old guy behind the bar is a joke. Cant handle 8 people at the bar does not know the menu and has no customer service
Great brunch menu for the weekend!
Not the same place. The hawk n dove should not have crystal chandeliers .
Great find - there is an outdoor garden hidden in the back! - zhen liu
Love this place! Open late and delicious. Hard to get a taxi late at night. - Callie C
This is a DC classic. The pizza by the slice is relatively cheap, and it's good. Their homemade sodas top off any meal at We, The Pizza. - Josh Higgins
