Dogpatch gem. Don’t believe the crummy tips. I go for an everything with cream cheese , which tastes amazing and unlike others. Can’t beat the freshness of this bakery , creamery, and Red Bay coffee .
Good bagels at black market prices- Toronto style, wood-fired, often charred; Beautys in Oakland was far better. A dozen is $42, each bagel is $3.50. No liver spread & whitefish salad for some reason.
Bagels are just ok and slightly better than wise sons '. Cream cheese is crumbly with a mild tang. Come by if you're in the area but don't go out of your way. There's wifi and lots of seating upstairs.
Bagel dog was surprisingly good, but let down by the bagels and spread.
The tips are on the money. The menu features some enticing items but the prices are steep.
The butter is delicious but the bagels are just above average. You can easily spend above $10 unless you get a cold bagel . Too expensive to become a regular place.
Everything! The food, the space, the service, the coffee !
Not bad, but at $3.50 for a plain bagel , it wont last. I hope they improve the recipe over time. Overall glad they are finally open.
There's extra seating upstairs!
Egg sandwich : highly delicious. Cream cheese and gravlax : mediocre. The cream cheese is weirdly dry and mealy, a slightly ricotta-ish texture. Wise sons wins in the bagel & lox department hands down
The BEC is great for breakfast . It takes about 20 minutes, though.
Bagels are tasty and fresh but pricey . Cream cheese is basically like ricotta .
I wanted to like Daily Driver; San Francisco doesn't have enough decent bagels . The space is beautiful and comfortable but the bagel has crumb like a hamburger bun and the cream cheese is flavorless.
Rude service but good food.
Beautiful space, slow service, bad cream cheese
Avoid at all costs unless you like waiting in line for an hour and overpaying ($38/dozen) for a bagel that’s literally worse than what you could find at the local Safeway supermarket .
