Feral pigs en route. :) Make sure you have water for the hike up which can be really tiring especially if done in the sun. Cool snorkeling down below though. Maybe you see some eels and dolphins!
This is the trail to Captain Cook Monument . Think twice especially if you aren't prepared for a 3-mile uphill hike
Hard trail . Very deceiving. Starts easy and fairly easy getting to Captain Cook . Hiking back out is tough. The heat is the hard part. Lots of water and take breaks.
Great trail and goats. So. Many. Goats. - eric bornemann
We took a 7am kayak tour with another couple with bigislandkayak.com and had the cove to ourselves for a few hours before the big boats arrived. Beautiful reefs, plenty of fish to sea, warm water. - Norman Ellis
Amazing snorkeling and a beautiful monument to Captain Cook. A bit of damage from the earthquake. Get there early to avoid crowds. - Mark J.
