beautiful place to just sit and read or listen to some music . Hidden gem in Chicago.
Don't forget about the (North) underpass entrance by Addison/Waveland! You can get lost here, especially by Belmont Ave!
The views . It's quiet . Great place to walk/bike to and relax on the grass and have a picnic .

Great corner in Chicago to walk along the boat Marina - go north or south along the park & the lake . Also a perfect bus stop . There is also a dog beach just north.
A great place to get your mind off the cares of the world.
You can see the Navy Pier fireworks show from here... although it's pretty far away.
Harbor staff are great at helping you get your boat tied up & assist with emptying you know what! Be sure2 tip them.
A great start point for a run or walk north and around the harbor , a little less than 2 miles I believe
I suggest you avoid taking a dip in the lake ; the waves make it very dangerous.
Watch for 1/2 off groupons for sailing . 130-180$ is well worth a 2.5 hour sail .

In the unfrozen parts, great selection of wintering ducks: common merganser, common goldeneyes, scaups, and sometimes bufflehead.
