One of the last old school resorts left in Tahoe . Gorgeous setting. Easy to get in and out of. Family friendly . The partnership with Squaw Valley and Ikon pass participation makes for a great value .
There's nice terrain here for all level skiers and some well spaced glades. Wolverine Bowl was a lot of fun.
The skiing here is great, but the food at the base is crap. You CAN just eat tater tots , but the sausages at Ice Bar by Sherwood lift and sandwiches at Spoon by Subway lift are both a nice step up.
Alpine is great for all levels. Beginners, hit up the Subway Main Run, intermediates should try Sherwood Run and the late ski historian Robert Frolich recommended High Traverse for advanced levels.
Celebrate a great day on the slopes at the Ice Bar , located at the base of Sherwood Chair. If you're lucky, you might catch the Alpine Bandwagon, Alpine 's unique snow cat sound system hybrid!
You have to eat at treats:. Get the veggie bagel with hummus , finish with a cookie .. And grab some gummy bears for your pocket

Beautiful in the summer!!
Hot Wheels is a great one for beginners!
Follow the sun for the best snow conditions. Sherwood in the morning usually works.
If you bring your dog, park down at Subway. Dog Mecca.
Snowboarders - stay to the far right on Summit or take Scotty's Chair to the backside. The runs on the left like Hot Wheels have a long flat area that's murder. Avoid.
Food is MUCH improved. And with lifts at a staggering $112, it should be.
Pick up 5 pieces if trash and help keep the mountain beautiful!
There is no sneeze guard at the chili buffet . YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Alpine is nice but mask compliance is awful. Yes Michael lifty at roundhouse at noon I mean you.
Bring your own food. It's pretty expensive to have lunch here, but then again, warm food is always good with cold weather.
Back side is often forgotten. And summit nose is usually nice.
reception is so horriblehere if you want to communicate , bring a walkie
