Located along the north end of the Canal in White River State Park is the Medal of Honor Memorial, recognizing 3,456 recipients of the nation’s highest military honor from 15 major wars and conflicts.
This memorial was dedicated in 1999 on the last memorial day of the 20th century. The curved walls have the names of 3436 medal recipients & each day at dusk for 30min stories about medial recipients
