pitza's are real interesting and different, lots of choices for vegetarians (if its your first time, get the veggie tasting platter). They also serve a tiny complimentary baked bread+zaatar - delish
Definitely go for the chicken shawarma . House dressing for salad is excellent. Service leaves something to be desired.
Beef and chicken shawarma are both good.. Beef is really good! Try the ashta ice cream
Very quiet during lunch time if you want a place to catch up with a friend over a quiet meal. They are v generous with the hummus appetizer serving - almost got full just from that.
Food was great & our large party was treated very well . Small place but they never rushed us. We had a lot of dietary restrictions at our table, but everyone could find options that worked for them
Sweet lunch deal at balade (east Mediterranean at 1st ave and 12 street). $10 for app, sandwich entree and dessert . (Or $12 for choice of pitza instead of sandwich ).
Great middle eastern eatery . Extensive menu with a large number of interesting and authentic options.
We really wanted to like this restaurant . Good news: Hummus & other apps were Great! Bad News: Chef killed the beef and lamb on the grill. So dry and overcooked - it was so sad. Staff is very nice!

Amazing vine leaves , sambousik, hot potatoes and lamb platter????????
Every time I'm here I fall in love more and more. The fries and hummus , together, are outstanding
The lentil soup is delicious and more bitter than a 35 year old unmarried Manhattan women. Like I said, if you like bitter go Lentil ...you certainly deserve it
Phenomenal food. Get a mixed grill price fixe, add two small plates to it for a great meal for two
Very tasty food and fresh, we like the homemade bread that comes at the beginning. Everything on the menu sounded delicious.
One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in NYC!! The service is great too ????????????????????????
Hummus , halloum cheese , sausages , mixed grill to mention a few
Good hummus , pita , French fries . and Za’atar bread . Grilled meats were good too…and it’s halal!
Great schwarma . The flavors are unreal. Agree with the garlic comments. Service is very slow.
Best chicken and beef shawarma in town . They make it with arabic bread which is just right ????
A glass of wine is actually a little carafe of wine , oh yea! Vegetarian mezze are good too
chicken shawarma salad w/yogurt sauce & pickled veg is the move
The Mix Grill is out of this world, the violinist on thursday is amazing, great music and ambience.
Underrated $12 lunch special ! Falafel and Shawarma sandwiches are delicious
Good for Levantine beer lovers! They have Almaza, Efes, and Mythos beers !
Best Lentil Soup I've ever had. Ask for an extra side of Tahini w your falafel sandweech.
charming and polite...very pleasant for a dinner with friends or with your partner.
Shawarma was wonderful!
So much deliciousness on this menu! Loved the kebbeh kras, labneh , and shish tawook
Get the baby lamb chops . Some of the best I've had.
Get the lentil soup it's fantastic! Great service and nice ambience.
Try their rose water , its so refreshing!!

Great food. Nice atmosphere
Chicken shawarma is great and staff and owner are very hospitable
Make sure you like Lebanese food I had eat to much lol !
The smaller portions are extremely filling.
Great Lebanese appetizers
Try the lentils and labnie with toume but avoid the scary drunk waiter at all costs.
They cater to both gluten-free and dairy-free allergies.
Order the quail .
Get the chicken shawarma !
decent shawarma but a bit too fancy for my tastes, service is super slow too.
Try the falafel and the lemonade !
Food was tasty but the appetizer portions were beyond small
Beef shawarma !!
$10 3 course middle eastern lunch ?! Amazing.
Get the Lebanese ice cream; it's chewy, rare, and delicious. - Ayaka Nonaka
My favorite!. I visit every time I'm here in the city. Fattouch, spicy shrimp, spicy hummus, schwarma. Don't let the waiter take away spicy shrimp bowl until you've soaked up every drop with the pita. - Courtney ORourke
This place is amazing. Try the Fatayer or Cocktail with a side of veggies that you add. On Sunday the Knefeh dessert is a must - Andreas Cohen
An institution in the East Village, love their tile floor.. and their NY cheesecake! - Adrien
