Great stores and food shops! Right in the water with plenty of options. Beautiful view of the sunset too.
Historic walk is protected from wind with access to most of the piers away from public on sidewalk and traffic on the Embarcadero. With pictures and displays of waterfront history.

Don't even bother waiting in line for the Ferry Building public bathrooms -- these are always cleaner and never crowded .
