Brandywine River Museum of Art

With an art museum inside, the museum grounds offer wildflower gardens in vibrant colors from spring through autumn, meant to preserve, protect and depict artistic resources in the Brandywine region.

Largest collection of Wyeth paintings from 3 generations of the family. Beautiful art gallery and interesting artist studios. Love it!

I first started coming here when I was a kid, always has been one of my favorite art museums to go to.

Nice collection of art . Worth the visit. Very interesting building and beautiful grounds.

Good cross section of american art . Afterwards don't forget to take a stroll along the river trail .

This is a must see -- terrific display of real Americana art , from Wyeth to Pyle.

It's not unusual to spot Andrew Wyeth 's granddaughter, Victoria Wyeth, giving a tour here. While you're here, take the Kuerner Farm tour & see the actual inspiration for some of Wyeth's greatest works

"Breakfast on the Brandywine" is offered every Sunday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. with each Sunday boasting a different brunch menu .

Take a shuttle bus from the museum to the N.C. Wyeth house and studio, opened from April through mid-November. The museum schedules family events throughout the year.

Take a few minutes just to admire the view of the river .

This is one of my favourite museums ... and the current Trompe L'Oueil exhibit is rather stunning.
