Better to walk north away from the Pier ... a lot less riff raff and the scenery is nicer north of Idaho.

Hey girls it is a great place to run when it is dark as oppose to running on the beach path where it is less safe

Take a walk down to the beach using the bridge over PCH. The stairs are near Montana Ave.

Get there before 8AM or after 6PM (summer). Walk (or jog!) from Montana to the twin towers. Hook a right down the small street (Adelaide). Walk 500 feet. Look left.

walk all the way north, then head up adelaide for rustic canyon views , and access to the "stairs"

Run, walk or bicycle from Santa Monica Pier to San Vicente Blvd for the most beautiful 1.5 miles of pure exercise

Park for free on a side street like Georgina or San Vincente
