While I haven't tried it myself, apparently the bench just north of the pole is a great spot to make out...as I see couples doing so nearly every time I'm there.

Nice indoor basketball courts, and they run pick up on Wednesday and Friday nights every week around 6pm. The 12-3pm crowd on Wednesdays during the summer can be a bit exclusive, though. - Nate Tinner
