Best tip I can offer...put your name down at the pancake place as soon as you arrive. Very long wait times, but worth it.

Don't eat breakfast , expect a 2-3 hour wait. Rent a canoe for an hour and walk on the trail . It'll help kill the time. Pancakes were great, Jerrica was really nice!

Be waiting at the gate 10-15 minutes before the park opens if you want a guaranteed seat on the weekends! Bring a swimsuit and towel to swim after you eat!

The atmosphere is very home style . However there is almost no air conditioning so cooking your own food over a hot stove in the summer is like being stuck in a volcano . No fun.

Try every topping for the pancakes ! Get crazy!!! also the best time to visit is during the week and later in the day. Not as crowded that way.

Florida has the nicest public parks . I love this one especially.

We've always made this a breakfast stop on our way though FL. The staff comes off as down right rude sometimes if they're busy. Don't expect your typical restaurant friendliness :(
