Rosamond Gifford Zoo

The animals were very active! I love that they have all the classics plus a lot of species you're not used to finding in a zoo . The indoor part is very extensive which is great for rainy days!

The giant octopus is only a baby and it is in a household size fish tank so if u thought u may see one that attacks ships on the great sea u will be disappointed

A really impressive zoo for such a small city ! Don't rule it out in those long Syracuse winters, either - it's less crowded , the animals are active and easy to spot, and there's tons inside, too!

The Penguins were fun! Great variety of exhibits . The cafe provided a semi private space to nurse if you need.

I disagree with the previous tip. This is one of the best medium sized zoos I've ever been to. The animals have nice enclosures , the penguin and elephant exhibits are great. I highly recommend it.

We had a great time. Because of the rain and cooler weather, the animals were much more active

Great place! Kids had a blast.. Because of the heat, the outdoor animals were in full effect!

head in early (right at 10am) if you have little kids. we pack a snack and drinks and stop by the foxes for a break. depending on the weather we may not even go inside. in the winter is great, also! Read more

Lots of animals to see! Currently under construction , though, so there's a lot of dirt and not quite as many exhibits outside.

A great little zoo with a new elephant exhibit , super friendly penguins , and adorable baby tigers :)

Don't go on a Tuesday , too many schools and kids in the morning, other than that.... great zoo !!!

Get the chicken salad sandwich and split between you and a friend. They are huge!

Visit with Ophelia the Octopus !!! She's pretty awesome!

Inside the monkey enclosure and the reptile area is very very hot...
