Great place for snorkeling but mostly for advanced snorkelers . Go in butt-first. Slowly. The rocks by the water are super slick. And bring flippers!

If you are looking for a great snorkeling place, this is it! Actually when you pay for a boat tour , this is the place where they take you. So save some money and go there by car and park by the road .

Snorkeling here is a little tricky due to the entrance on private property. Having a guided kayak tour is a better idea. Don't trespass and take care of the natural habitat as well as local privacy. Read more

Great snorkelling ! Follow the shoreline on the right about 100-150 feet from the landing . You'll come up to a coral forest with lots of wild life , lookout for turtle and eels !

Honu like the left side of the bay and into Slaughterhouse Beach . Prettiest coral and lots of fish just past the sandy bottom just past the half way point on the right side of the bay !

Honolua Bay is a famous surf spot for advanced surfers . If you don't surf , head up to one of the lookouts for the perfect vantage point to watch the pros. During the summer - enjoy great snorkeling .

Despite the signs, there is no private property here. ALL beaches in Hawaii are public. Enjoy the views and the water. Aloha!!!

Honolua Bay is a winter-time destination for Big Wave surfers. A powerful, hollow wave famous for long rides, this break also offers pristine surrounding cliffs for spectators to take in the views .

Come early to find parking - there isn't much. Sick to the north end of the bay - more sealife and better reefs . Watch for green sea turtles !

The water clears up about 15 to 20 ft out. Also warms up a bit. Don't forget to enjoy the vegetation and feed the wild chickens on your way to the shore.

Take a snorkel/cruise on the Teralani 3. The crew will treat you like gold! This is a must do every time we visit Maui.

Great snorkeling . Come early. Parking tight. Rocky and slippery entering the water. Not kid oriented.

Look for signs at trail heads that map out where the underwater reefs are located. It will make for more interesting snorkeling . Don't forget to tread lightly!

The North side has some of the best reef , but really either side is good. Tricky getting into/out of the water due to slick rocks but worth the effort.

Best snorkeling I've found this week. Look for a truck axle with tires , schools of fish , shallow and deep water, tons of urchin , angelfish, trumpet fish , etc.

When the waves are in let's the surfers do their thing, but when they aren't snorkeling is as good as some of the dive sites.

Kimo owns the land that leads to the "bay ". It's actually an old fishing village . Anyway, awesome snorkeling . They will start selling BBQ food next year. Good times!
