Founded by Chinese couple collectors, Mr. Liu Yiqian and his wife, Ms. Wang Wei, they constitute a unique ecosystem of art in Shanghai: “One City, Two Museums.” As the largest private institution of collection in China, the Long Museum boasts of the richest collection nationwide.

The nuseum itself is beautiful. Always has great exhibits going on. Just make sure to check their working hours. On a nice day, you can walk along the boardwalk right behind the museum as well !
Smacks of a white elephant: a great big space with poor exhibition design and museography.
The Café du Dragon nearby has a decent range of drinks, food and snacks , a comfortable vibe, and a whole bookcase of art books to check out.
WAY better than the one in Pudong, literally nothing worthwhile in the Pudong museum . Spend a few hours enjoying new media contemporary Chinese art ! Wang YuYang is up through October.

Museum closes at 6pm. Hard to get at a taxi at anytime ... In fact no taxis unless you want to hijack one..best place is outside the main entrance long teng Dai dao ..
Nice museum with surprisingly interesting exhibition . It's also located beside river , a good place for walking and sightseeing
The ticket cost 100 rmb, but enter is free on the first Thursday of the mouths

When I was here they were in between exhibitions , so there were not much to show. Ran down Chinese traditional art section. Light wasn’t working. Still a very impressive building nevertheless.
James Turrell exhibit is on point. Worth it.
