Perhaps the best cold brew coffee outside of Cape Town . Their ham and cheese croissant with a smidge of whole-grain mustard is so good, I want to hollow it out and live in it.
I wish they had this in SF. It's great and on the same level of SightGlass or Blue Bottle . My go to drink is the almond milk latte . Starbucks lovers this place may not be for you.
Great place and of course serving some of the best coffee there is. If you want to use your computer beware there aren't plugs so charge it before hand... + wine and beer is served here too :)
Amazing espresso coffee , Italian roasted. Prepared and served with care. And paired with a glass of water. Cozy environment , WiFi , kind bartenders . Just a PERFECT experience.
Love the space, great espresso like all the Intelligentsia locations throughout LA. Love how they give you a side of bubbly water with a Macchiato
Great place for coffee purists. You will love their passion for coffee . Pricy but quality coffee products. The only thing I don't like is the loud music they play but still a great place.
Grab an iced latte here for that extra kick in the AM or for a afternoon pick me up! A great hangout if you're looking to catch up with a friend.
Very cool coffee shop . Nice place to come and work or just to chill . They also serve wine and beer here as well .
If your going to pay for coffee , do it here! The best knowledge , service, coffee environment in Old Town ! Killer chocolate cookies work the whole coffee & sweet tooth thing out quite nice!
Great single-origin pour-over, cappuccinos and hazelnut croissants . Don't expect a cup for less than $5, but drinks are fantastic and they stock Siggi's yogurt !
It has a great environment. Best place to get away from all the busy Saturday night craziness and relax for a bit.
A welcome addition to Pasadena! Stop your conversation and watch them prepare your drink - these guys are good! Then sip slowly & Savor every drop.
Bring the gourmet-iest of gourmet coffees home with you by Stopping into Intelligentsia and picking up some organic Fair-Trade beans. Bring your KCRW Fringe Benefits Card to sweeten the deal!
When you venture inland & the temp is hotter than midday in the desert , get the iced chai . For some odd reason, it's infinitely better than the hot version.
The Geisha is light and smooth. $12 for 8 oz is a bit expensive in my opinion. Would make a good gift for coffee lovers, though!
Love the interior and the coffee served here. The line could be long though.
A beautiful reclamation project that pays homage to Old Town Pasadena. Check out the joists, reclaimed woods, structural supports. Oh, the Black Cat Espresso ain't bad either. First look linked below. Read more
Yes, the coffee is amazing, but don't forget about the amazing beer selection . Have a Delirium Tremens, La Fin Du Monde or Maredsous instead of a coffee some time.
Pour over and espresso are very good. Really enjoyed the Burundi single origin . Overall quality coffee .
Fantastic coffee - I drink it all the time in Chicago - and really comfortable chairs . And free Wi-Fi.
Their Mocha is made with their house made Ganache , very Delish & the Rustic Apple Tart was tasty. Atmosphere is relaxed but the music is too loud , not enough seating outside . 3/5 Stars
Free meter parking on Raymond 8-11 am daily. Also a 15-minute space there on the corner near Colorado.
I'm in iced mocha and butter croissant heaven. The vibe and the decor is also divine.
The coffee was fantastic but one of the baristas was not. I’m lucky there are so many great coffee options in Pasadena. I can always just go to another place.
Excellent coffee . The line starts closer to the door and not directly in front of the payment iPad.
Hot chocolate was the best of the best hot chocolate . It is a real 'Hot Chocolate '.
the Angeleno is best iced coffee drink on the menu. also try the feta scallion scone .
Great mochas but 2% is as light as it gets. No almond milk but soy milk is available if you're into that sort of thing.
Get the mocha if you have a sweet tooth! The chai latte is good too.
Great beer and wine selections .
Love that they have a bar here. More spacious than the Silverlake one, so feel free to grab a table to do some work.
small drink menu at the front counter. try to know what you want quickly as lines form fast behind you if u dont. food menu posted on the wall & alcohol served at the bar in the back
Coffee is good, full of people working on laptops slowly drinking 1 cup, so it’s hard to find a seat
My favorite coffee in...a very large geographic area. It is pure art , chemistry, and ceremony. Love the vibe.
The current +$ reserve coffee — the Takesi Bolivia — a good coffee . Not amazing, though. Don't get it just because it's expensive…like I did.
Single origin 12 oz drip will run you about $5 but well worth it.
Angeleno FTW! But beware, it has 4 shots. Also the best mocha in town .
If you're a true coffee drinker, you won't add milk or sugar! ;)
Great coffee and mr holmes bakery goodies
This location is cool because they also serve wine and premium beer
The coffee lives up to the hype, the ambiance is crafty, and the service is notable.
Great coffee , upbeat ambience, and a reputation that lives up to all the hype.
All your favorite beans sold here.
Simple syrup latte or mocha . Any of the coffee is delicious
The focus is on the coffee here (mostly) but if you like Chai , the in-house version is excellent.
Low-key Intelligentsia is one of the most respected roasters in America and now has five cafes around the country .
Great place for meeting up with friends. Bar tables seat 6
The coffee here is great, and the baristas are far less pretentious than they are at other intelligentsia locations
Single origin Americano was amazingly smooth.
Best coffee in Pasadena. Locals beware, the weekends bring in long lines and longer tourists , who ask every question imaginable before ordering.
My absolute favorite coffee place in Pasadena!! They have GREAT coffee and provide excellent pastries, as well as great bites like salads, sandwiches and weekend brunch items. So delicious. - Caitlin Taylor
Thick, foamy cafe au laits and awesome coffee cake! Soy and almond milk available too :) - Melissa Yee
Awesome little place in Pasadena. I love the Spanish chorizo sandwich and the churros. A must try. - Michelle Arnaiz-Dela Rosa
Great food, wine and service! A must go for dinner when in Pasadena. - Christopher T
