This house was built in 1852 and was one of the stops on the Underground Railroad . Today approximately 80-90% of the furnishings in this museum were owned by the Kelton family.

Renovation and restoration of the Kelton House so it could open to the public as a museum was a project of the Junior League of Columbus.

This 19th century Columbus home was a stop on the Underground Railroad . Visitors can enjoy a look at antique items from the elegant home led by a costumed guide.

There have been over 25 houses identified in Ohio as being part of the Underground Railroad . The Kelton family helped escaped slaves who sought shelter at this urban home. Read more
