Start on the top floor and work your way down through the permanent exhibits to go in chronological order. Otherwise the museum won't make sense.

Somehow the folks that run this spot haven't a clue of how much Jewish culture this is ABOVE 96th street. That is, after you've went through Fort Know security to get in! At least it's in proximity.

Matthew McCaslin's Being The Light sculpture on the fourth floor is worth checking out. The piece is more than just a work of installation art , it functions as a menorah as well !
Take a close look at the coins and medals showcased on the third floor. They are stunning. I liked the Portrait Medal of Moses Mendelssohn, but wished the reverse side had been displayed.
The collection of ancient artifacts is so lovely and interesting. Its only take an hour to complete the tour .
Free on Saturdays! The Modigliani exhibition running until Feb 2018 is a must-see.
