Come here for the slow drip ice coffee . It is STRONG. Go light on the ice and add a little syrup and milk and BAM, it’s amazing. Go for the 10 ounce unless you wanna be bouncing off the walls
The coffee is amazing here but if you are looking for a place to plug-in and crank out some work: look elsewhere. No wi-fi. This is a place to come and enjoy a superb cup of joe!
Seriously one of the best lattes in town . They are not all the same. It takes true skill to consistently make a perfect latte right down to the heart or flower shaped foam and this place nails it!
Deliciously smokey and sweet macchiato made with perfectly roasted and ground coffee beans. Served with sparkling mineral water. Make sure to buy the Monocle and other great magazines in stock!
Super friendly staff , ample parking , some sidewalk seating . A REAL coffee shop .
BYOWifi and charged laptop to this coffee and pastry joint: no outlets or internet provided. Great for casual meetings or social time with friends. Too loud (especially with the grinder ) to study.
This coffee shop has good prices and location. It does have any plug, so if you come to study for long hours you should consider find other place unless you have a portable charger . Good atmosphere.
The staff is helpful & they keep it simple when it comes to the menu. Should you need to special order, they’re happy to oblige or explain to you why your “healthy” version might not be good for you. Read more
The best place to have a cup of coffee in #Houston period. If you are looking for an energy boost try their Cortado .
Great for coffee snobs and hipsters taking a sabbatical from the Internet. Otw, you can get good coffee plenty of other places and also have wifi an comfortable seating . Or a seat at all.
Everything is quality: coffee , pastries , and music selection (get your shazam ready for new tunes ). Also keep an eye on the rotating art exhibits .
The changing art by local artists is worth your time. Point your eyes at the walls instead of at screens (since there’s no WiFi ).
Really nice selection of brew options. Had a Ethiop Amaro Gaya in Aeropress and a nicely pulled espresso Guat - will try V60 next time. Also grt collection of coffee geek equipment to brew at home.
Probably the best place to get a great cup of coffee & conversation this close to downtown.
Flat white and cortado are excellent. Can get suuuuuper crowded on the weekends.
SEO Specialist Laura says, "Catalina Coffee is by far my favorite coffee shop in Houston. As an added perk (ha!), it helps fuel my nerdy love for and interest in espresso ."
Don't let the Wash Ave address fool you. This is the best coffee place in Houston. Ask for a real shot of espresso - also have amazing Chai Lattes .
With hearts or designs swooped right in the foam; it’s almost too pretty to drink. With a happy cup of coffee , it’s a great way to start your day. Read more

The coffee here is phenomenal with a good selection of pastries . Th ambiance is casual and relaxed.
Very good espresso . They take it rather seriously here. Use Amaya beans which is a very respectable roaster in Houston.
Busy space for 4pm on a Monday. I wish they would have had pastries , but coffee was good and they had oat milk , which is a plus given the shortage!

It's all about the espresso baby and this one is bold, fruity with a hint of cocoa . Nice coffee .
Macchiato is good. Espressos are great, but maybe a bit too watery in terms of consistency. Drip coffee caters to the regular American with a preference for watered-down weak stuff.
Great Coffee corner! Stop by order a Flat White and enjoy...
No wifi in here which is a good point. Ask for their best pour-over coffee !
The macchiato is fantastic along with the carrot pastry thing was really good. :-)
I think it’s important to support small businesses and this is a pretty place! Go check it out!!
I've only been to one coffee shop in Houston, this one, but I can't imagine a better one exists in the city . Be patient when it's busy. It will be worth every minute of the wait.
They have neat little stickers and postcards by the register you can grab.
I'm a coffee lover and They're flat white drink is amazing. And great baristas.
Mineral water comes with your espresso
As far as non-espresso drinks, I don’t really like their drip or iced coffee but their Gold Cup pourover is good. Not a good place to work though. No Wi-Fi or power outlets .
I think I just had one of the best coffees in my life. I said to the barista "surprise me". He really did.
Great vibe. Great people watching . Stick to the coffee and you will be happy.
Check out their library of magazines and special printed items.
Mocha latte was divine. Rich, velvety dark chocolate taste. Not overly sweet, perfect.
Do not be intimidated by this coffee shop . It might be the best cup of Joe you miss out on otherwise. Read more
The slow drip iced coffee is awesome!
The espresso is amazing here. They sell good coffee beans as well .
Coffees tend to be on the citrus-y side. Have no wifi nor electrical outlets . They keep things focused on good coffee with helpful experts.
This is among the very best coffee houses in the city . The espresso tastes like apricots ...AWESOME.
Pros: top quality coffee , service, and atmosphere. Cons: no wifi or power outlets .
Coffee is amazing and great atmosphere!!!
The coffee is great here; I love everything about this place, I always have.
Buy your beans here and you get a free drink. They'll grind them for you too. The beans, btw, are best in Houston.
