Life ain't easy for a pub burger in the modern NYC burgerscape of $20+ burgers and ramen hybrids, but Donovan's holds their own. The patty is slightly under seasoned, but very juicy and well cooked.

The food is absolutely stellar. The French onion soup and a lil shepherd's pie is more than enough. Service is also excellent.

This is my local go-to for a night cap. Really nice staff and it's cozy . I periodically come in for a burger and it's consistently good!

Good burgers ...fries are more like potato wedges and not so great. Burger specials and $3 well drinks if you sit at the bar Mon-Fri 11am-6pm.

The Shepherd's Pie can feed two people. Comes with pop & squeak (peas and carrots ) in between two generous portions . Potatoes aren't really dense -- a litle watery???? -- meat has old-world flavor.

Discovered comfort food today at lunch . Shep Pie and Guinness from this place will keep you happy for a long time.
