Worth the journey from Manhattan to come here to stock up on essentials. Can be totally cramped and disorganized, but when your options are as limited as they are in the city , take what you can get!
If you're expecting a quiet and peaceful place to shop in serenity, you're in the wrong Target location. Always packed with people with pretty long wait checkout lanes. Staff is friendly though.
Love Target. But it can be a stressful place in NYC due to the mass amount of people and long lines . Makes going to a suburban target feel like a dream though.
Apparently you can't try jackets on in front of the mirrors. You have to use the fitting room. As per one of the oh-so-lovely sales associates.
If you weren’t at the red carpet opening with circa 2002 finest NYC’s celebrities and a frozen margarita machine then I don’t want to know you.
Guess all those comments paid off and Target Atlantic Ave has improved. Go on weekdays after 7pm. Like the fact that is open till midnight. All those negative comments: it is Taget not Takashimaya
A couple years ago, a kid threw a football at my head here. A few weeks ago, I stepped over what I hope was a chocolate bar smeared on the floor.
You know you can never leave this place w/just the list you came in with. Don't worry, we can fit all your bags in our cars so you don't have to take the subway. ???? new 3.1 Phillip Lim collab- some key pieces in xs & sm sizes still available like tuxedo pants , sequin dress , floral dress & floral sleep camisole set. Nice purses but many styles/colours sold out.
They open at 8am on saturday. Come early, all the sizes are available, it's empty and staff is friendly ! That NEVER happens here!
The shelves always seem empty/out-of-stock and its ungodly crowded all the time (no matter when you go).
Randi Brookman-Harris, the woman with the sharpest interior design mind in town , swears that the side-ruched maternity tops from Target never stretch AND they look chic post-pregnancy. Get into it.
Staff is very helpful. Store hhas a good variety of food, staples and basic clothing . GOOD sales and 5p off if you use your Target card.
good baby supply section with lots of diapers, baby food, cribs, strollers, onesies, and more
This Targets an expansive collection of natural hair care, curly products!
I lose a piece of my soul every time I go here, but I do save some $ on bulk items . Use the red price checkers found throughout the store prices aren't always clearly marked.
Go Mon-Wed before 5pm. They'll still be out of all the best lipstick and nail polish colors, but you'll be able to buy your toilet paper and potato chips in peace .
Yes it gets crowded during the weekend, but visit this Target on a weeknight for less long lines and better inventory.
They sell quart mason jars here! They also let you purchase online before you arrive and pick up in store same day
Go before 11a church crowd arrives on Sundays and before 11a during weekdays. Or just go to the Gateway or Flushing locations.
Go late on a weeknight (open till 11). You will be slightly less likely to want to die, and there are so many cheap things!
chill out , it's a target in ny. yeah, it gets crowded on the weekends. cope or move.
Oh yeah, and make sure you know how to use your shopping cart as a battering ram. People love to just stand in the middle of the aisle with no courtesy at all. HIT THEM WITH THR CART MOVE THEM!!!
No matter what time you're there or how many check out lines are open, you'll spend the majority of your time waiting in a check out line .
Utter defeat
Always chaotic, especially on Saturdays and Sundays!
just roll around in an ant hill , get beaten to death by toddlers with sticky hands, deny yourself what you need, and have the full experience without actually having to come to this hell-hole.
Don't go during the weekend. You'll regret it.
If you're going here best time is first thing in the morning since most of the employees seem to be on their cell phones instead of assisting
Sometimes it's just worth it to go further up Flatbush to the Junction.
This is the Walmart of Targets — poorly organized , and checkout takes forever. On the other hand, the selection and prices are amazing.
I know this is tricky, but walking is when you put one foot in front of the other to move through space. Also, when operating a cart, it's helpful to be aware of the world around you.
This is great Target if you like long lines and yelling. Oh and shitshows.
Sometimes the register closest to the mall escalator is dedicated for Target red card members and can be a fast check out.
This is quite possibly the shittiest Target on the entire eastern seaboard. It's never properly stocked EVER!!!!!
Only Target in the city . Prices are so much better than your local Duane Reade or CVS. Kinda grimey, but worth the trip. Stock up!
The customer service has vastly improved at this location. Also, in general I think it's impossible to spend less than a hundred bucks :)
I agree with some of the tips here, however I hv nvr had a problem w/the employees. They have always been friendly to me...maybe some of you approach them with a stink "you are my servant" attitude.
This is what it looks like when you hire the laziest, cheapest, most inept staff possible. For an extra nickel they could probably get people above a 5th grade education to work the registers.
Go early in the morning. Things are tolerable then. Granted, later in the day things get so cosmically fucked up that the result borders on performance art .
Oh MAN do we love Target. Talk about a one-stop shop. And those Pride Pops they brought to 2011 NYC Pride Rally were DE-licious.
It was a nightmare to shop here toward the end of the day, but hey try to go there at the end of Black Friday. Unmatched experience! :)
came to pick up a pack of bottled water? stop right there! grab a couple of bobbles instead and save big: 1 bobble = 300 single serve water bottles!
This place stinks, always out of food, staff never knows where anything is and when they finally get an express lane they replace it with a self check out lane, 30 mins extra for checking out
Why I come here is beyond me! There is never anything out on the floor but merchandise is neatly placed over the wrong labels and prices! Associates take the chaos personally. Drive to Gateway!
Go early during the week, it's clean organized and there are plenty of SA to help and regs!
The experience of shopping here is the best interactive advertisement for birth control of all time.
If you've ever shopped at a Target elsewhere and thought the people shopping were idiots, just wait till you experience this Target. They bring it to an all new level.
My knees! Careful, the Men's room hand dryers are so damn low, it's as if they were made for a child's height!
This place converts into hell on the weekends.
Takes exceptionally long. Whether the line is long or short. - ⚠️Macro Error⚠️
Clean, fresh, inviting. Love the fish selection. Good variety of new (vegan), ethnic & alternative foods. Staff-still gruff. - Lisa
Really clean and spacious compared to other Key Foods with a solid beer and cider selection - Ian Tabolt
Can't beat TJ's prices especially on organic produce when in stock. Their products are comparable to any leading food brand. They just created their own Balsamic Glaze which makes me very happy! - Tina Cernero
Target is here and it has everything you could possibly need for personal care, home goods and gifts for everyone in your family. - Marivic G
Store is really spacious. Great place to shop without feeling cramped and crowded. - Christopher Adams
Terrific concert venue and friendly staff. Clean bathrooms to boot. I’ll be back. - Will Harahan
