Take a deep breath and mute the sudden urge to use desinfecting wipes... my kid was very entertained. For a rainy afternoon, I felt like there weren't too many people, which was nice. Def recommend!
We visited on twice it was so good. I have 2 daughter 3 and 4, they both loved it. They where never bored. They ran from area to area. Their joy was palpable. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Fun interactive children's museum with lots of great spaces for kids to explore. Dora floor, fire engine , sand tables, painting on the white board and splash in the summer are our highlights.
There's a playground type area on the second, third and fourth floors - the third floor one is the best for tiring your kid out. But avoid the sand pit! Fun, but low energy play hides there.
The water tables at City Splash are perfect for the little ones on a hot day. Inside was a little too crazy with older kids overtaking the under 4 Playworks exhibit .
We loved it in here! Money well spent! Definitely deserves it. Especially on a rainy day! Wanna go back there again and again ????????????????????
It is an absolutely fun place for small kids, although tickets @$12 is too expensive . Buying their membership package would be much more economical.
4 floors -Lots of things to do! My 2 yr old grandson had a blast... However, many older kids running around makes it a little unnerving.

Children crawl through mouths to learn about digestion, join a pottery class , or draw her own version of a classic Chagall painting at the Children’s Museum .
Great warm weather spot. Fun for kids who like to "drive" cars.
Remember to leave your stroller at home or bring a fold-up! Our FAVORITE museum doesn't have enough space for hundreds of strollers , so we leave our stroller at the free coat check facility.
Loads of fun but unlike the other museums in the city there's no cafe that's a bummer

An amazing place to take the young ones. Was the highlight of our trip for my little one .
Good for kids 8 and under. Older kids get bored quickly.
Make sure to check the events calendar when you come. There's always way more going on than just the exhibits--like workshops downstairs with New Vic Teaching Artists !
It’s not big but surely could keep the kids happy for a full day indoor fun!
check out the kaleidoscope tubes in the art room

Even the 7 year olds had a great time
Warning for first time goers : It looks like a school so kids on line may or may not tantrum !!!
Eat before or after your visit, there is no eating in the museum
As a parent you're crazy to come here. It's madness. But I'll admit my kid can't stop talking about the fire truck and asks at least once a week to come back. Sigh, use disinfecting wipes aggressively
Richard Kind must live around here. Saw him twice
This is definately not a place for a nine year old! I would say 6 and under!
Good exhibit on the human body
It's best to leave your stroller at home !
No food allowed inside so get grub before you go.
MUST do the workshops-- I made a thanksgiving plate with my 6 year old and Gregory Christie, children's illustrator
