The Royal Crescent

The Royal Crescent, one of Bath’s most iconic landmarks, was built between 1767 and 1775 and designed by John Wood the Younger. This impressive landmark forms a sweeping crescent of 30 Grade I Listed terrace houses, and is one of the greatest examples of Georgian architecture anywhere in the UK.

Very nicely done exhibition at Royal Crescent 1. Very competent and friendly staff , willing to share with visitors. Architecture of the Crescent is very unusual, definitely worth seeing too.

Beautiful place. I study at the university and I always come here to clear my mind. Check out the No.1 at Royal Crescent — very interesting!

Great place to visit with a beautiful view & sitting area. Also the first building on the right (No 1) is a museum with some cool history of how life was back then, worth the visit :))

The Royal Crescent is the most impressive of Bath’s seven Georgian crescents. The Royal Crescent Hotel (royalcrescent.co.uk) does an impressive, if pricey , afternoon tea (£25). Book ahead.

So delighted by this place ... I didn't know the Crescent's use and was very surprised of learning about it! Great park in front of it

Pleasant if sunny only, going onto the grass. While raining, quite difficult to appreciate (as it is or too far, or too close)
