very well kept and gives you a really good idea of how it used to work. Admire, listen and check the orange mark on the walls! def worth a visit even if you aren't a museum fan, trust me!
Number one attraction in Bath. Roman baths were created 2000 years ago. Still have natural springs and few bath...only open for viewing and not public use. One can even drink spring water for free
Museum was super high quality and the audio tour was really good. Ignore the "Bryson" tour : just some random guy his opinion on stuff "the lady in this statue doesn't look friendly " that sort of thing
Amazing place with the ability to show layers of history and make you empathise with the Romans despite the 2,000 years that have past. Love the humanity of the Roman curses described in such detail.
Awesome historic site of Roman baths with the still active spring and well-interpreted center. The sacred spring and grand bath are the highlights, but the quieter site explanations are wonderful.
Make it your first stop when in bath. Can get crowded with a long queue waiting to go in. The audio guide system is really good. It is definitely something not to be missed when in Bath
Such a beautiful and calm city . I can see why people traveled here to feel restored. Don't be afraid to taste the water (it's warm) from the dispenser at the end. It tastes fine :)
Detailed audio guides & lovely museum . However can get packed in weekends so be careful (also u get a 10% discount if u buy tickets online a day before visiting)
Great and beautiful place! A must see! If you are in London a day trip to Bath is a great option. The city is very cozy and italian. If you can stay for a night or two, it's perfection!
Roman Baths were beautiful and worth a visit!! The audio tour is thorough and you can go at your own pace. Book online the night before to save £10%
Supposedly, some of the architecture and actual baths are original... about an hour worth of history and learning exhibits before getting to the ground floor (the actual baths) + free audio guide !!
Love the rich history.. I'm so glad they've restored the place and i cant believe that the spring is still very active and the water gives off a warm feeling
One of the best roman remains in the world with valuable historical interest, one of the most important of England in a touristic level. More about it here: http://bit.ly/1OhKzcs
Go on a weekday at opening hours no lines and you can enjoy the baths without all the pushy photo taken tourists . It takes a good 2-3 hours to see everything.
Entry is expensive but worth it. Cannot visit Bath without going here. Excellently preserved architecture (though what is above pillar level has most likely been reconstructed).
The history is all around you, the holograms were a nice touch to give a visual on who would be using the baths. Loved it here!
Go in the summer if you can as they do a late evening opening. It is wonderful to see in the dark with the torches lit, and sometimes there's even bubbly for sale by the pool.
Excellent place to visit and worth every penny. Don't forget to take an audio guide, everything well explained. And it closes at 9pm - plenty of time to explore
First time I went here was in 1974. Now back in 2016! I love it. Absolute immersion into ancient England under the Romans . Fascinating!
It’s a very pretty museum , must-see in Bath. The audio guide explains everything perfectly and the building is just amazing. A lot history to learn from this site.
Definitely recommend the audio tour which provide the historical background on the artifacts ! You can follow along with the corresponding numbers at each site.Free WiFi with no login (lower level)
I wish I could dive in the water, incredibly warm. Very good exhibition and lots of good photo ops. Go along to the free informative tour if you can catch it.
They have audio guide in many languages and have complete information about how the Roman first build the bath avenue.
Definitely a must if you visit Bath, but try buying your ticket in advance on their website, to avoid a long wait in the queue.
To taste the water. Go to the King's Fountain INSIDE the fancy restaurant . It is very awkward to get a sample as it is additionally roped off and unattended. Ask the (brusque) staff for a glass.
My daughter loved there kids audio tour . It is a small museum but there lots to learn and see
Much larger than you’d expect. Audio tour takes 2+ hours. Well worth the entry fee.
On weekends, the best time to visit the Roman Baths (adults £12.25, 65 and over £10.75, children 6-16 £8) is soon after they open — later on, there can be queues to get in.
Come before 10am on weekdays if you want to avoid the crowd. :-) You get more time, more space
The complex is a site of historical interest in the English city of Bath. The house is a well-preserved Roman site for public bathing. The Roman Baths themselves are below the modern street level .
Beautifully preserved baths. A must visit in Bath and well worth the entrance fee.
If you like visiting historical places, then you must visit The Roman Baths in Bath. It is very interesting.
Can’t miss it! If you’re from the American continent, be aware that most stores close at 6 and they stop serving lunch at 4.
The best place in Bath! So amazingly interesting and beautiful! Must get the audio guide, just wish tourists weren't so disrespectful
Always a treat to see this amazing site the Romans used to occupy.
Very good museum , free audio guide in several languages included in the price. A bit crowded , though.
Definitely do the audio tour . The exhibit is incredibly well organised and educational . Absolutely beautiful
Museum is quite extensive, covers much more than the one bath that everyone takes a picture of. Worth it!
You can try mineral water from the fountain in the pump room (Roman Bath building, in the middle of restaurant ). Just go to the fountain and ask waiter for a glass.
It's hard to ignore the historical significance and it is two thousand years old, but a little renovation may see it through another two thousand years.
Great audio tour , with contributions from Bill Bryson .
Great museum and full of information. Just please don’t touch the water, you will have to fill out a insurance form
Come before 10am on weekdays (July) if you want to avoid the crowds
Fantastic piece of history in the middle of the city centre, make sure you pick up the free audio guide handset
If you can, take the twilight tour - very informative and a good meal at a local restaurant afterwards.
Learn more about how the Romans would have used this ancient spa site and don’t forget to enquire about the saver ticket which gives you discounted access to the Bath Fashion Museum as well .
Incredible. You must come here. Ignore the regular audio guide, just listen to what Bill Bryson has to say.
This is THE place in Bath. Beautiful and amazing.
Interesting museum . Don't be put off by queue outside, it moves quickly.
definitely grab one of the audio tour guides!
