Just the best beef brisket in town . Don't be scared by the crowds the service fast😄 Tip: try also the competitive beef brisket at #sisterwah at Tin Hau - still a secret but also sooo good!😍
Expect long queues at this reliably excellent, but cramped little eatery . Your carbs options are ALL noodles here, but don't worry they are all a great accompaniment for the amazing beef brisket .
Amazing beef brisket noodles and curry noodles . Portions are a bit small so order one of each. Have the clear soup first and then the heavier curry noodles after. Perfect with an iced lemon tea !
Like all good food in HK, there is always a queue. Kau Kee doesn't disappoint; tender chunks of braised beef , although you need to pick the right noodles . Curry beef also worth a try! 7/10
The beef noodles are to die for. Meat is supersoft, noodles chewy, broth filling. The queue snakes round the block, even in the rain. Come at non mealtime hours to skip the Qs. Starts at 12.30pm.
What distinguishes Kau Kee from other noodle restaurants is that they only serve Beef Brisket in clear broth and curry soup . Welcome everybody to ask me questions about Hong Kong.
Nothing’s really impressive here, but it’s everybody’s to-go-place for a nice bowl of beef tendon or brisket that puts you in great comfort. Their beef tendon in curry really stood out best.
Was a little intimidated to eat here bc it's a very local, brusque place, but am happy I did. Dinner for 3 people came to $205 HKD. Beef tendon & curry e-fu noodles + iced coffee for me!
Always wanted to try their beef brisket . Local favorite hence expect to Q. Small and cramp place but with good ventilation. Would love to try their curry next round. Note the staffs may not be polite
I passed by this place everyday because it's so close to my place. There's forever a queue of tourists . I walked in today around 10 when there's no line . I ordered curry beef noodle soup . So good!
Famed outlet specializing in Beef Brisket/Beef noodles . Choice of Yee Mee, thick noodle in Traditional broth or Curry sauce . Traditional broth is excellent. Be prepared to queue.
Excellent beef brisket & efau noodles . I've been told it's best of the kind in HK. Indeed is very tasty. Don't look for anything fancy : you cue to enter, you sit, you eat, you leave.
Find the time and patience to queue. While in HK you can't miss a lunch at Kau Kee Restaurant. Thumbs up for food quality, time management and organisation. Carry noodles highly recommended
Only beef brisket and various noodles . Tiny place but well-known so line is out the door. Moves fast. Good value . However, I'd recommend take-out (I question the sanitary conditions a bit).
Curry beef tendon and brisket noodles and thebregular clear both brisket noodles are both amazing! Lives up to the hype.
probably the best beef noodle stew i have had. broth in the regular noodle soup is amazing and fragrant, and the curry is smooth and comforting. strong recommend.
The curry noodle is the best. There's always a queue. On average a person spends 15 minutes in this restaurant , so it's quick. Expect to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. *Ps. No queue for take out .
Really good beef noodle soup , highly recommend their curry e-noodle!! Keep in mind.. might be a 30 mins wait, below average service and sharing table with others.
Came close to closing so most noodles were sold out. Had curry Beef brisket with Tendon egg noodles . It was good. Curry was tasty & spicy . Meat & tendon was tender. Tho I wouldn't wait an hr for it.
If two bowls is too much, get the beef brisket noodles and a side of the curry (only 10 HKD). Dip some of the noodles and beef into the curry and enjoy.
Get the curry beef tendon soup with e-fu noodles . I don't even like e-fu noodles , but damn. If you don't want to wait, get takeout , but I reco eating there the 1st time.
This was such an interesting experience where you are seated with strangers in a packed table that you will definitely hear each other slurp. Loved the beef tendon curry with flat noodles .
Environment itself could be improved but soup and noodles are truly delicious. Beef very tender. Must try in HK!
{4/5) Noodle shop with a variety of beef offerings, all of which are quite tasty. My personal vote is for the sirloin beef with tendon , which is deliciously tender.
Amazing broths!!! If you're here with at least 2 ppl, get one of each broth - regular and curry .
Lives up to its famous name. Very delicious and worth it! 👍🏻👍🏻 tried the curry and clear broth
Cramped and noisy , the way HK noodle places are supposed to be. The noodles are great, and cheap . Always a queue but it moves quickly. Don't bother ordering a drink, you won't be there long enough.
Well it's safe to say I did not regret standing in the queue for 30 minutes for my delicious bowl of beef slice noodles . Was absolutely mouth watering.
Q moves relatively fast. Best beef brisket noodles ever. Try it with e-fu noodles . There’s a minimum order per person (around 60hkd).
Curry beef noodles are absolutely amazing. Staff are assholes, but that's the true Hong Kong way. Be careful of discrepancies between the Chinese and English menus.
Feels like you're eating in a very public washroom- definitely worth trying for local experience. Gigantic amount of noodles in a tiny bowl, curry is strong and greasy.
It's everything is cracked up to be; crowded , grumpy waiters and great beef brisket noodles . Don't expect good service , but expect the best beef brisket in Hong Kong.
Excellent beef brisket . Curry beef noodles is my favourite. Queues out of the door are there for good reason.
If you're a girl and you order and eat two bowls of noodles , the staff will loudly tease/praise you mercilessly -__-
Is it worth the wait? Yup! If super hungry order two bowls or split an extra one with a friend
Delicious, rich yet not cloying, leaves you thirsty for more. Service and ambience make a challenging experience but the extraordinary food is addictive. Hence people will queue even in the rain.
The beef brisket soup or curried beef brisket soup is the bees knees. Less thank $1US and you'll be craving it forever
Best curry beef brisket noodles served by foul mouth waiters n cashier . Dun take too long to make an order 😁
Very tasty noodle .
Amazing noodles . Order the #4 (clear broth ) and the #14 (curry ).
All time favourite for beef brisket ! Have it with the thin egg noodles , instead of the white flat rice noodles .
The queue forms well before opening, but the restaurant is much bigger than it looks (probably the first hundred or so people get in). Note that they don't serve no. 1 (Kau Kee Special) until dinner
Cons: You have to wait one hour outside to get your beef brisket noodles . Pros: Daimn... it's worth it.
Curry with flat noodle is to die for. Recommend
Beef brisket noodle soup . Worth the wait.
Must order one more soup to accompany Efu noodles as soup is running out fast
牛脆腩 ($168) is heavenly. Order takeaway with no queue, and eat at the benches outside
Honestly just another restaurant which tourist will go. For me, is good to try once but not worth to q for the food.
long line , beef brisket is tasty. wide noodles are recommended.
amazing curry beef noodles but the owner is so rude & grumpy, would yell at you if you move slow, it's almost funny
U can add seaweed on top of hor fun/ noodles .. HK style ... I like their curry beef nam ~~~ nice - Chew Elaine
this is the most expensive branch of Mak's noodle (I think it even beats the one on the Peak) but food is excellent as always. get the shrimp and pork dumplings soup if you are really hungry. - Zsuzsanna Miklósi
The French toast is freshly made, definitely worth trying~ - Jxff Yxm
The pineapple buns and the custard tarts are to die for!! Must try!! - Joshua Haryantho
Get chirashi bowl at only 60 hk$ from city super - worth every penny with a great taste, freshness and size! - Jen Loong
Gorgeous little shop with gifts and trinkets, though it's all pretty expensive! Worth a wander 😊 - Luke McFadden
