Your ticket back from Coronado is good for either the large main boat to Broadway Pier or water taxi (small boat) to 5th Ave/ Convention Center . Unless you order the water taxi for a specific time.
Make sure to explicitly ask where the ferry departs from. These guys will switch the gate without telling you and leave you stranded for an hour until the next one. Shady bastards.
If you plan to go to Coronado, consider taking a ferry across the bay !
I recommend drinking heavily. It's not like you're driving the boat or anything.
