The first certified-sustainable sushi restaurant , the NW location ups the kitchen offerings to include seafood "charcuterie ," featuring bites like uni custard and tuna prosciutto . [Eater 38 Member]
A sustainable sushi restaurant . There's usually a 15-20min wait if you arrive before 8pm. The press box is a must try.
Uni crème brûlée is a fine way to cap the tasting menu . Other highlights: albacore carpaccio , hoki poke box. Expect more PacNW-fusion than fine raw fish and you'll go home a happy, sustainable camper.
Go to the sushi bar and do omakase ! The sushi chef makes small dishes for you and you can name your price point. Get a sake or shochu flight as well
This place is excellent. So fast and delicious. We literally sat down and had about 5 of our complimentary edamames before our roll arrived. We are from Denver and consider ourselves sushi experts.
Chefs choice sashimi . Get the things you can never usually get. High standards for taste and for sustainability.
Sit at the sushi bar if possible, the action is nonstop entertainment. If I had to eat one thing for rest of my life, it would be the albacore crunchy nigiri .
The Japanese style spinach salad is amazing. Original vegetarian rolls and avocado nigiri with truffle sauce is out of this world. Highly recommend!!!
Green machine is damn tasty. Share with a friend or a date - the sauce is a bit rich.
The service was excellent. Happy hour is totally worth it and the fish quality is very good, soft melt in your mouth. Happy Eco! ❤
Some of the best sushi I've had. Green Dragon is an excellent roll, add albacore . Staff is amazing.
See if they have a salmon flight. Green machine is solid, as is all the nigiri .
Probably the best sushi in town . Try their sake flights and fresh nigiris !
Two words!! Green Machine ! Enough said!! (With albacore ) Oh and the coconut panicotti. Now I'm done
Get the green machine w/ albacore ... The albacore carpaccio is unbelievable!!!!
Green roll is the bomb. Service is tops for Portland - attentive though not overbearing
Great for anyone who needs to eat gluten free ! They accommodate to you and it tastes the same as the real thing.
This place is great. If I was Ryan gosling and I liked sushi , I'd eat here for sure.
Great selection of sake , and only place in the U.S. that I've found that carries Asahi Black.
Get the miso glazed eggplant and avocado truffle roll
You can learn "Rapid Japanese" while you go to the bathroom in their incredibly modern facilities. Gorgeous restaurant .
Sit at the sushi bar and get entertained by some impressive knife work.
Everything
Unagi people, try that here: it is slightly sweet and oh so tender!
Fresh quality sushi
Great sushi . Try it with a sake flight .
Best sushi ever ???? ????????Awesome sake list, too ????
Green machine is hands down the best roll
Green Machine is a must, vegetarian or not!
Have yet to find anything bad! I love the crunchy albacore nigiri .
Great location freshest sushi in Portland .
Great atmosphere and happy hour is amazing
PDX roll is vegan , other veggie rolls with aioli are not. Be sure to ask!
The Ika (squid ) salad is absolutely my favorite!
Great place for some fresh fish
fresh sushi and hip vibe
I wasn't super impressed with the happy hour ! The food was decently good but the prices seemed unreasonable, especially for non-sushi items.
Green Machine is rad!
Best sushi in Portland so far
If you sit in the bathroom long enough, you'll learn Japanese.
These guys are super green! Our to-go charge was 20% of the bill.
Sushi bar seating enhances already outstanding meal.
Blanched spinach with sesame soy dressing .
Dragon Roll is where it's at!
This is more of a fusion food place. Not a traditional Japanese eat.
Fluke sashimi with quail egg . Wasn't on the menu!
love this place. Eat here!
My favorite sushi place in Portland
Beware: closed on most holidays!
Happy hour 's a steal! 4-6pm
Love the Oregon roll. It's the best! All the other special rolls are great too but that one is my absolute favorite! - Bryan Geli
Pretty amazing collection of Sake! Cool decor and really good food. - Steve Bilow
Not a great place for kids. Cool atmosphere focus on sushi, not cooked food. - Anna Moreno
Great service and incredible ice cream. Be brave and try the unusual flavors - Natarajan Chakrapani
In the old Brazen Bean location, they know their whiskey and how to combine it with other flavors. From standbys to new cocktails, excellent craftsmanship. - Darrin Quillen
