Smaller beach but very enjoyable! And damn close to the city by bus . Protip: walk all the way to Bondi Beach by the coast. It's about 2h, but definitely a must do. Many beaches and landscapes.
One of the best beaches in Sydney I've ever been. So close to city , just about 15 min. by bus from Central. Lot of BBQ areas. People seem kind and friendly almost all the time.
Quieter with a great local community atmosphere. Perfect if you want to avoid the hectic Bondi beach . 15-20 bus ride from Bondi junction. Great waves that break close to the shore.
Gets very busy and it's often hard to find a park . Nice green area above the beach for BBQ and shops are convenient.
My favourite beach , not too crowded , not too big, good for swimming and chilling.
The waves on the Middle and right side of the beach are very strong. Go to the left (North) side of the beach for a good time!
Coogee beach has a better than average ratio of water to hydrogen molecules. You will emerge more oxygenated than when you stepped in. Good for hydration too. Bring your own bath salts though.
Can get quite crowded during the day time being a more popular beach in Sydney , but if your looking for some fun at night try going for a swimming in the pool at sunset !
Raised here...lots of great coffee shops , small outlets and the Coogee Bay hotel beer garden is the best on a sunny weekend weekend with live music and a great pub menu...
Great beach , not as crowded as Bondi, but with some good cafes nearby.
Jog down and work up a sweat then take a dip to cool off. Great for waves here. Lots of cafes for food. BBQ on the grass and plenty of brewskis. Come again
Excellent local beach . Less touristy than Bondi Beach . Very nice to come in the evening and cool down on a hot summer night.
Boardwalk, park , baths, ocean pool, surfing and swimming beach
If you don't like waves go to the north part of the beach , beyond the rocks you'll find a natural pool
Gentle beach with some shade up on the grassy hill . Lots of free parking around - try to find the 4hr spots!
Nice area with lovely shops and cafes . Similar to Bondi. Go early if you like to find a spot in a beach .
More quiet compare to Bondi. Less tourist here. Enjoy the sea with a bottle of cold beer
The perfect beach . Great in summer. Get really crowded though but definately a must see place.
Fantastic beach ! Maybe less crowded than Bondi. There is a grassed area with tables for picnic .
Lovely beach . Must do the walk from coogee to bondi along the cliff edge
small-quiet-nice view beach in NSW.. Bondi is too crowded for me. Coogee is much quitter and i LOVE it ❤
Best gropers - if you snorkel at the north end of coogee beach there is a little ecosystem along the reef that is very rich in different fish and very docile, huge blue gropers!
Good times and awesome pub across the road - the Coogee Bay !! One of Sydney's best!!
Amazing beach , have great choices of restaurants around and a green area .
It is nicer beach , less crowded , great cafes and good surf . You can walk the coastal path along to Bondi if you want a peek!
Beautiful beach and great restaurants . Coogee is an ideal holiday destination. I recommend staying at Crowne Plaza .
Great lil beach , just watch the shore dump !
It's a great day today...they call it an indian summer. ..the cold is just going to get back at you.
Soouth end is the best spot bring a bottle of water with you
Only the best beach in the east would have it's own Virgin Mary sightings... Check out the stories and shrine on the north end of the beach . Just up the stairs, turn right and follow the fence along
Small beach , make sure to do the coogee to bondi walk - bring water, it's a long one in dead heat
If you enjoy people watching as much as swimming between the breakers then Coogee is the beach for you. All sorts head to Coogee when the weather heats up. So come on down and bring a fold out chair!
Easily accessible for the city folk via M50 bus ! No need to go to circular quay.
This beach is less crowded than bondi which gives it bonus points.
Get juice from 'watermelon head' on right hand side eight doors up from water. My fav is mint , watermelon , ice. Return to beach and enjoy while appreciating volunteer lifesaver's self-less service.
Parking a few blocks up on coogee bay road is free street parking for the whole day
Nice view and the pavilion is a great addition.
Stay at Surfside, amazing staff and great views ! Located right on the beach ..
Great breakfast cafes on the road running along the beach . Nice tidal pool at south end...
Dunningham Park @ Coogee Beach is a beautiful location to get married in Autumn.
Worth walking here from Bondi on the coast.
Be careful of the waves , the shore break is a killer!
Probs best beach in all of sydney, a relaxed beach atmosphere
One of the best beaches in Sydney . Get in early to avoid the crowds and the heat.
Now that full alcohol ban is in effect coogee beach will be better and cleaner????????????????????????????????
Please go to see the "natural pool" at the north side if the beach !
Great beach and food nearby
Love the area nice restaurants along coogee bay road
Such a cute little beach
Watch for the busses when crossing. It's one of famous last bus stop for many routes.
Beautiful beach surrounded by heaps of good cafes. Big grassy area behind the beach with BBQs to share - Ingrid Prowse
Small little beach - deep sand section. Can be a bit rough (has a fairly steep entry). It's pretty nice and is on the Bondi to Coogee walk. - Chung Ho
Great surfing spot for beginners, although I would recommend Manly Beach and its regular waves. Gets crowded in summer but is definitely a place to be 30mn from the City. Bondi to Coogee is a must do - Hugo Fauquenoi
Great venue for big groups and families. There's an awesome play area for kids and grown ups and the food is spot on. We enjoyed the pizzas and beef sliders. - Shirps
This place is a hidden gem. One of the best snorkelling locations in Sydney and just 20 minutes from the city. - Mackenzie Price
Love love love the animal pen...salt n pepper squid, bay pizza and burger are great...beer battered fries are the bomb and the beer garden with the burger shack rocks! - Salwan Finj
