In my hood but just tried and found it surprisingly good! Both pasta and fish were tasty and hearty portions . Service was attentive and quick. Atmosphere dark and a bit homey . Try it if nearby!
Authentic , fulfilling exp if you order well . After your bread & lentils , try tiella pugliese, indulgent mussel & tomato risotto layered over potato . Small ravioli portion. Finish w moist tiramisu .
Pasta and seafood reign supreme at Mercato. Get the heaping plate of seafood linguine , coated in fiery fra diavolo, which practically bursts with mussels , squid , shrimp and clams .
A traditional NY Italian restaurant feel, with traditional food . Might have preferred something a bit lighter. Somewhat crowded and noisy , but friendly . Friday/weekend reservations recommended.
Open super late and amazing Italian food . Possibly, some of the best pasta in the city ! Great for a post broadway meal or night cap, only a 10 minute walk.
Great neighbourhood Italian - food / service / atmosphere all way above average, an impromptu business lunch thoroughly enjoyed by four jaded Europeans.
Great ambiance, delicious authentic food, great service. I'll be back for sure.
Though the portions are medium-small, the spaghetti is among the best spaghetti I've ever had. Rich garlic flavor with ample (truly) fresh tomato sauce .
Great ambiance. Authentic and unique dishes that are all delicious. I can't resist the lasagne . And, the ricotta cheesecake is a fave of mine. Not too sweet so don't expect "cheesecake factory". Read more
ask for which pasta is actually homemade . then get drunk on a bottle of wine , enjoy the bufala mozzarella and eat frutti di mari
Cozy spot with authentic atmosphere, perfect for a date. Prices are reasonable
The rigatoni with eggplant and salted ricotta was PHENOM. Others in my group loved their meals as well . Fried artichoke was small but really tasty. I want to try everything on the menu!
Just a few blocks from Port Authority, you’ll find this mood-lit trattatoria, it’s well-stocked wine vault, and a cozy atmosphere that feels anything but “bridge and tunnel .”
Authentic Italian with homemade pastas , terrific sardines and, of course, meatballs .
Amazing place. Tagliata di manzo and filetto di orata are perfect! Super sweet tomatoes in caprese salad (was made in few minutes actually)!
I'm a regular here, Owner Fabio specialty is classic cocktails of old which is fun. Of note: the Burratina, Stracciatella , Orecchiette , and the Orata. Warm and authentic .
Caprese was excellent, sage raviloi was pretty good Tiramisu & cappuccino are worth it! #yumm
Excellent place. Small, romantic , good taste and outstanding music and attention. Anything else? Go now!!!!
Hole-in-the-wall restaurant serving fresh, perfectly cooked pasta . Of the three dishes I got to taste, my favorite was the trenette .
We had the rigatoni and lasagna , it was fantastico! Very crowded and noisy ,just like NYC ????. Wait staff was very attentive and professional.
I love this place. Cozy and authentic . Everything is good!!
Atmosphere is good for dates . The gnocchi in ragu sauce was amazing. The mussels are light, great app.
Fresh and delicious Southern Italian fare that is a must-have for any Hell's Kitchen resident. The friendly staff and delightful libations only make this place even greater!
Very cozy , great wines at a very good price and great authentic Italian pasta dishes.
The gnocchi was BOMB! Great balance of sauce and meat with the plate; however, the portion size was smaller than anticipated.
The real deal for authentic Southern Italian cuisine and atmosphere. Mangia! Especially the phenomenal homemade spaghetti .
Try out the Linguine al frutti di mare ! The best I’ve had in New York!
You can't go without tasting their very special Lasagne . The grilled salmon is absolutely surprise. We would be back
In a tourist-frenzied area w/ little to eat other than $1 pizza slices , Mercato stands out! Pasta is fresh and above average. It's one of the few good options in a 2 block radius.
Really good Southern Italian food tucked away in Hell's Kitchen. I recommend the trenette al pesto and the pistachio semifreddo - delicious! Read more
Delicious! Authentic ! Get the lasagna .
The traditional spaghetti is a solid choice. The burrata is house made and delicious.
Prosecco ,fried mushrooms with garlic and Parmesan cheese ,tiramisu . Is there anything else you need?
You can definitely find better Italian in the city . Came for a birthday, and was charged a ridiculous cake cutting fee that was not communicated at the start. Group of 5 and 20% tip was already added.
Specials are always delicious, super fresh. Staff is great.
The specials are always excellent. Especially if they have pappardelle
Good atmosphere but the food is quite mediocre, even for the modestly priced items on the menu. My wife has made much better pasta , mussels , and beat dishes at home
Amazing fresh pasta .. The lasagna would make your Nonna proud! ????
Place maybe good, but waiters are very abusive to hostesses especially Marco, harassed my wife there he made her quit and brought his friend for her place
very good Italian food , waiters all speak Italian. good Midtown option
This is the best Italian in the city . It's all good, have a glass of Prosecco and raise it in the air: Jade and I had our wedding here on the 8th of September 2010!
Try the free bread and the Secret sauce - olive oil , lentils and capers . Yumm
Ravioli with Spinach and Cheese and Tiramisu for dessert .
One of my favorite restaurants to visit when I'm in NYC.
Awesome tomato source. Lasagna was normal. Fair price and cossy.
Tagliere Pugliese , a carefully selected platter of cured meats and sharp cheeses , is served here with classic taralli. - Inspector
Amazing Italian food . I haven't even eaten better in Italy ????????
Very good cocktails . Also an eclectic selection of Italian aperitifs.
Really good pasta , had an excellent time here.
Truly authentic Puglia region cuisine - the "polpette y crostini " and "taglierre puglia" are my favorites.
The best! Very good Italian panini sandwiches, authentic ingredients, homemade mozzarella. Friendly staff too. - Randy Reynolds
Great brunch bottomless cocktails. Def get the Sangria! My fiancé agrees. - Oscar SdZ
Cirque du Soleil was amazing! The theater is beautiful and you can see really well from every angle. The show was worth seeing and the Garden is very well kept. Great Theater experience at the MSG. - Bethel & City Tours
Everything is good here! I would recommend going in the evening because the scenery is beautiful. Even in the winter time here you can't go wrong. - Pamela Benford
The beer selection is fantastic and if you need a recommendation the bar staff is super helpful. Also...best mussels ever - Michael Axelbaum
