Comfortable friendly surroundings. The kitchen produces great tasty traditional food - what a relief in a world of trendy fusion cuisine ! Pudding is excellent! Wine list is quality!

Been lucky to celebrate my birthday in this amazing restaurant . The wallpaper and the architecture of the room makes you feel special. Service is wonderful and the food and drinks to die for!

The bar is a great place to sit and watch the action from a central place in the restaurant.Easy to walk in and perch up with a wonderful drink and meal. Great service, great wine list .

The ambience, the decor, the service, but most of all the food - everything hunky dory. For great table side entertainment order the baked Alaska (only for two)

For starters The barbeque squid salad worth chorizo which was simply incredible. Mains was the herb roasted monkfish - hands down best monkfish I have ever had!

Delicious starters. Unfortunately, the restaurant experienced a power cut while we were dining. The owner handled the situation meticulously well and reserved a table for us in a nearby restaurant .

Well cooked traditional food . I have been here three times and have never left feeling less than happy. A good wine list and the puddings are so, so tasty!

Ribs & chicken bang bang were both delicious. Shepherds pie was great but the Parmesan courgettes aren't great. Lamb was delicious. The chocolate sundae was ok.

Clover club for cocktail ! The Shepard pie was good as well . Wasn't a fan of the octopus with chorizo .

It's difficult to get a reservation here by phone, so book online. Be sure to have the sticky toffee pudding for dessert--it's one of the best in town .

The Food is all amazing but the Peanut Butter Glory for dessert is amazing!! I could eat it all day! Must have!

It's trading on its old trendy and glitzy history. Still full and fabulous room. Food is average fare these days given the quality elsewhere...though shepherds pie and stick toffee pudding are fab.

Delicious food, great place for a special occasion .

No reservation ? No problem! If there are only two of you, try sitting at the bar . Stellar cocktails !

Short ribs , tasty and crunchy.

Its good, but i think i expected something a bit more unique from them. Average for the price, recommended to go to admire interior

Good quality, mainly traditional food with an interesting crowd. Roast poulet was scrumptious.

Extremely bad service,had to wait 45 minutes for deserts ,only after we complained we weren't charged for them. Food average and waiters couldn't even advice on wine list . Overrated

Great atmosphere, food was acceptable, service was scattered. Overall - not worth the money.

Sticky toffee pudding

I go there every year for my birthday. Amazing. Get the Shirley Temple cocktail .

Honest opinion is an outdated menu, not that well prepared food, cocktails good and decent intimate dining you come to be seen but the food Is uninspiring and boring.

Timeless classic.
