The first museum in the US to focus completely on Quilts & Textiles; it was first opened in 1977 in Santa Clara. It permanently moved to San Jose in 2005 & now holds more than 550 quilts & textiles.
The New York Beauty quilt collection was amazing. Some truly stunning work by unknown people, sometimes back in 1870s

This museum displays various exhibits of thought-provoking art. Fun and free they have educational programs available as well. Contemporary is the name and modern too. - Cheapism
