12TH STREET BEACH is located at 1200 S. Linn White Drive (12th St. @ Lake Michigan, on Northerly Island) on Museum Campus, this beach is nestled just south of Adler Planetarium. Amenities include restrooms, food concession, non-motorized boat launch. Paid parking available.

A small, seemingly-hidden beach on Northerly Island . It can get pretty busy on summer holiday weekends. There is a nearby taco stand for food and refreshments.
The views are spectacular, it’s right by the Adler Planetarium and FirstMerit Bank Pavilion , and it runs into 40 acres of beautifully landscaped parkland to the south. Read more
