The Capital Grille is the place to go for a professional business lunch . You have to try the Parmesan Truffle Fries and the Lobster Mac ‘N’ Cheese . The dirty martini is excellent too.
The steaks & sam's mashed potatoes are to die for. Johnny is the best bartender in nyc he knows how to make you feel welcome
The Porcini Delmonico steak is outstanding. The porcini mushroom flavor is subtle yet the balsamic is smoothly persistent. Cool Ipad-based wine menu guides the wine pairing along with cordial servers.
Very good for working meals and business meetings . Steaks are a cut below what you can get a few blocks away at Palm and other nearby mainstays. Seafood tower will make you happy, though.
Vegetarians : if you ask your waiter , there are a usually a few off menu entrees the kitchen can make for you, e.g. pasta with vegetables or a seared tofu dish when I was last there.
Dined in for a restaurant week lunch special . Lively yet classy ambience . Good food. If I ever come back, it would be because of the lunch-time sunlight and the creme brulee
We had such an amazing evening! Thanks to our server Daniel who was incredible! We we're there celebrating a momentous occasion and it was made more special by the exceptional service we received!
The roasted mushrooms and lobster mac are really good. Everything is good here except the steaks . It's just not aged well and how they cook it is very inconsistent. Go for the sides, not the steak
Yes it's a chain but it rocks. Perfect for a business lunch or team dinner . Service is on point. Seared tuna and Surf & Turf were standouts.
My family and I had a great dinner. The delmonico steak was wonderful enough for 2.i had a sushi tuna that was real good. Fine wine and delicious dessert .a little bit expansive but it is worth it.
The burger is excellent. The quality of the meat is noticeable. Pair with a cab or pinot for optimal enjoyment ????????
The perfect Grill lunch : Crab meat cocktail appetizer , the Petite Filet medium rare, the kick ass Lobster Mac "n" Cheese and Wild Mushrooms on the side and end with the Creme Brulee . YUM!
Omg! Generous portions of food for restaurant week ! Definitely worth it. Though my medium rare steak felt more like a medium. So if you like it medium rare, ask for it to be more rare than medium!
This is by far the best steakhouse in NYC and within the US top-10. The filet mignon is just superb!
Continuing until Sept. 2, The Capital Grille is having its "The Generous Pour--Summer Wine Event " which features nine very good wines for $25. This is an excellent value and should not be missed.
Honestly everything is amazing but if you have a sweet tooth, their cheesecake is a must! Creme brûlée crust, need I say more?
One can have lunch here without breaking the bank ..by NYC standards. The Lobster and Crab burger is excellent and not crazy pricey . Their signature cheeseburger is also a tasty option. Make sure to or
The food here is typical of a steakhouse and the service is moderately good. The ambiance is charged with power, as this location caters to the business world.
Business-attire recommended. Often a part of NY Restaurant Week . Smaller portions. Pricey . Within walking distance of Chrysler building. Extensive wine list .
Fresh Mozzarella , Tomato , and Basil . Parmesan Truffle Fries . And definitely the Porcini rubbed Delmonico. Perfection.
The flourless chocolate cake is the best chocolate cake that I have ever eaten in my life. The best cake for me in the whole world.
Lobster mac and Cheese was good, noodles were a bit under cooked. The steak was amazing!!
Great tasting ribeye -cooked to temp
The Sirloin was sooooo good, would go back just for that. The service was also on point. Good choice for restaurant week .
Everything I had was great, and Megan behind the bar was even better!
Not a place for calorie counting. Don’t skip the lobster mac and cheese , burrata , creamed spinach , and potatoes au gratin . Basically, all the things with cheese .
Perhaps the best lobster mac and cheese with the exception of Joe's Stone Crab in Miami.
Ambience is darker but definitely sets a mood. Food & service are great.
Spinach salad is fantastic. Also Sanjay Gupta has a liquor locker here
It doesn't matter what entree you get...you have to order the Sam's mashed as a side. But actually.
Very fine and exiting place for business meals...
Filet with Mushrooms and Onions is amazing.
Great bar , lovely service, spacious seating ... oh, and amazing steaks ! Lobster mac & cheese is awesome!
Best steak around. Seriously... forget what you might think, and try it. But sit in the back "glass" room. Oh, and service is great too... they kiss great ass here!
Ask for the Mash potato with potatoes from Idaho. It is the best mashed potato I have ever tasted.
The Grilled Brussels Sprouts are DELICIOUS!
Beware of creepy old waiter with glasses that hovers over you while you're eating, looks at you behind pillars, and watches your every move. Stalker status.
Lobster and crab burger is very tasty!
Expensive but great service, great atmosphere
Wonderful T-bones and lobsters . Wines are overpriced.
Get a dirty martini or 3 and the Lobster Mac & Cheese ...decadent!
Terrible customer hosting service, as I am in town on tour myself and celebrity guest we were sat in the far back corner by the kitchen closet. Never again
Lobster mac and steaks
website prices were WAY different than menu prices. They didn’t honor the online price. Steak was very dry not worth the price, potatoes al gratin was horrid.
It was good. The steak was dry but tasty.
order the lobster
Ask Capital Grille to treat their workers with dignity!
Great tenderloin sliders
Delicious food
Apparently you can’t just call it the “grill” because that wouldn’t be very capital of you. “GRILLE!” “Ah, that’s better.”
The cocktails (try the bee sting) are delicious! Oh, and so is the food. - Jody R.
like the EV spot, you can't leave without having the char-broiled chicken. best in NYC. - David Ambrose
It was a delicious breakfast, served alongside a pineapple mimosa and friendly waitstaff. - Keith Lowis
