Great sound & view from the balcony . If on main floor, sit closer than row AA to get out from under the balcony for better sound.

Enjoyed one of the best nights of my professional life during the James Beard Award Gala 2018. This high-profile, black tie event was masterfully held at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. MAJESTIC VENUE.

[Graham, Anderson, Probst & White, 1929] This building features Art Deco and Art Nouveau styling, musical motifs and designs by Jules Guerin - famous for his watercolors of the 1909 Plan of Chicago.

Beautiful building and great acoustics . The restaurant between acts is the way to go it's quick, light, and tastes great.

The acoustics in the theater are amazing. If the doors are open during rehearsal, you can hear the singers all the way from the main hall.

If you enjoy opera. This is the place. You can dine before show and relax at intermission

I'm not an opera fan but I would recommend the Civic Opera House to the truest one. They will enjoy the pristine sound of the orchestra and singer .

Loved the view from the box seats, but be sure to get there early, and the prosecco was delicious!

Opera is top notch and there are a variety of food options.

Bellini 's Norma this evening was mesmerizing! Sondra Radvanovsky killed it! (and herself oops-spoiler alert!) 10 hankies!

Performances here are far better than anything I've ever seen at the Met in NYC

The show is very hard to hear and don't dare get up and leave before the 1st act is over they won't let you back in!! Expensive and very frustrating endeavor!!!

Bathrooms are upstairs, to the left, and behind a sign that says "Do Not Enter"
