Best place to buy souvenirs as they all are mych cheaper than everywhere else. Food is on the ground floor, clothes and stuff are upstairs . Cash only . ATM is nearby.
The excellent market , everything is here! If you see the low prices of goods necessary to you, you don't need to hurry up to buy it. Walk still, far away, perhaps, you will find even cheaper.
Good selection of food items on the first floor. For souvenirs , obviously skip the stalls closest to the main entrance as prices get progressively cheaper towards the back.
Budapest's central market is a good place to buy local products . If you want to buy souvenirs or eat in the upper floor just prefer places outside market with better prices and better quality food !!
One of the must see places and great opportunity to buy some tasty Hungarian souvenir ????
If you like amazing produce, skip the super markets and come straight here. When you walk in, go to the left side. Right side is more touristy . There's a lot of meat, fish and dairy in basement .
although a touristy place, the produce is surprisingly cheap and great quality, come here for cheap exotic fruits or just regular seasonal things . there's a big Aldi downstairs.
Architecture of the building is great, inside it's full of butchers with all types of meat (you've never tasted before I bet),fruit&veg shops, paprika & spice shops, they got also souvenirs and sweets...
I am Hungarian, PLEASE DO NOT EAT LANGOSH here, this in not Hungarian Food what you find in the 1st floor! All food is FAKE here! Please go to a proper place!
Worth visiting. Paprika is cheapest here. Make sure to buy from people from the second raw. Walk around a little. Hungarian souveniers on the 2nd floor. Exchange place is next to main entrance.
Very fresh fruits for VERY cheap ! I had the largest apple I've ever seen (highly recommended: on ground floor, red Italian apple )
Located at the end of the famous pedestrian shopping area, Váci Street; the stunning indoor market is an architectural treasure trove of fresh vegetables , fruits , meat, fish and culinary delicacies
Amazing place, market with vibrant atmosphere full of domestic fruits ,vegetables ,butcher stuff, eggs ,fabrics and tourist souvenirs .You can even find fresh mushrooms in south-east corner!Must see in BP!
Worth a visit, many delicious foods to choose from! Also nice paprika stands, but walk through all of them, because some of them are cheaper than others!
Upstairs start your day with a shot of Unicum (local digestive) and then a garlic langosz (fried dough ) and then you are ready to browse through the vast array of meats, vegetables , and pickled goods
Cult place,u can feel the energy&the local vibes,u can buy souvenirs&eat on the top floor. We were there Tuesday&it was so crowded ,I guess because it was lunch time.We tried langos ,heavy&too expensive
Cool building, lively market with fresh food vendors, Hungarian souvenirs , and food stalls . A fun visit and great place to buy your souvenirs .
At the end of the first block of stalls, don't miss where they sell Túró Rudi, a semi-sweet cottage cheese covered in chocolate (red-and-white polka-dot wrapper).
Fresh fruit and vegetables . As a vegetarian I love this place. There's all sorts of seeds and grains too
Niels. Don't forget to eat a Langos upstairs . Best in town !Go for the famous Hungarian lángos upstairs on the right side. Eat it with tejföl (sour cream ) and sajt (cheese ).
Best place for souvenir and charcuterie shopping. Convenient prices with good quality. A must visit in the city
And old fashioned food market for tourist and locals, nice to buy some eatable souvenirs or to try local food.
The central market in the city has a lot of traditional places to eat. It’s touristy , but still found the food tasty. The shops on the second floor, right side, closest to the front.
Lovely indoor farmer market with local produce and some small restaurants . When done make sure to walk the charming Vaci u street next door.
On the 1st floor you can taste lots of yummy Hungarian food ! Just don't forget that you will pay extra for each, small, things. Ex) sauce etc. Be careful when u'r ordering Goulash on the bread ????
Everything is good here. All fresh fruits veggies and a lot of meats. Go upstairs for clothing and other non food stuff.
Biggest traditional hungarian market place in Budapest. Beautiful building, big selection of Hungarian specialities. Upstairs you can even try some fast food .
Great to See all The beautiful Food but also great to see the different beautiful handcrafted things on the first floor. A bit tourist prices but definitely with a look.
Visit steak shop in the basement ! Nice & helpful guys, high quality beef :)
Here you can find salami and sausages . Also a lot of vegetables . On the 1st floor you can find touristic things. Try the langos . . A little over priced but very tasty.
A culinary delight. Great place to get acquainted with Hungarian cuisine. Don't miss the lower ground floor more to discover down there.
Great prices for food and souvenirs . The place also is a perfect gathering place. There are also two ATM 's in case you need more cash.
You can explore the Great Market Hall on a guided tour , followed by a cooking class when you learn to make typical Hungarian dishes in a modern cooking school.
Visit this local market to buy local food and souvenirs . Looooot cheaper than the airport ! There is also food on the 2nd floor, you could try the Làngos .
Cafe/bar (panorama bar ?) upstairs offers good coffee and cheap wine . What more can you ask ? :) of course, cheese and sour cream langos is must
Nice market . On second floor there are small buffets where you can find hungarian traditional food . Try them, quite good.
The souvenir shops are more expensive than others outside. The food stores on the upper floor is also expensive and very touristy . Only the meat stores are worth visiting.
Please remember that while you are standing in the middle of the road in awe, some people want to do their grocery shopping in ten minutes as they have to rush to pick up their kids from school.
Very crowded and not great signage once you are there. Mostly paprika products, meat counters and produce. A few pastry places too. Wouldn’t plan on the market for a meal, but worth a look around.
Great place to visit and shop. Choose from all types of salami and sausages and try the food stands on the second floor.
This is the best market in Budapest. Handmade Hungarian meals with strong quality.
Good place to find all thing local, fruit , veg , meats and all sorts of edibles downstairs, souvenirs and chow upstairs . Paprika all over the show, as a side note.
Food stands are located upstairs , any of the stands will serve really good food. Tables are located on the corridor. Most places are cash only but they take € or $ however the rate is low so use HUF
Great selection of meat and veggies . don't go to the upper floor, u can find cheapest stuff outside .
At the very end opposite from the main entrance sells the cheapest goose foie gras at 4500FT.
Incredible collection of stalls. Great local produce .
Such a lovely spot to feel the beat of the city ! Fresh vegetables , spices, cheese and a lot more!
Huge farmers market . Definitely worth walking around and if you need some vegetables or meat then this is the place to go
