You can reach the entrance by Funicular del Parc de Montjuïc and use Telefèric de Montjuïc to get Castell de Montjuïc. But don't even think about getting there by walking in the middle of the hot sun.

You may think it's a hard climb but it's doable and pleasant. It doesn't take so long to get to the top, but check a map or you'll waste time turning round and round.
This normally tranquil hill is set to be taken over by some of the wackiest athletes out there. On Sunday, the Buff Epic Run takes place here - an 8km fancy dress obstacle race!

Tip: while coming down, take the route from the back for lovely walk. The Catalunyan history museum here is free on Fridays after 3 pm as well as first Sunday of every month. Plan accordingly.

People like to define Parc Ciutadella as the Central Park of Barcelona. In reality, Montjuic is a more accurate comparison.

It takes half an hour by bus to get there. Nothing special inside the castl , but the view is awesome!
