Try tgeir Foie gras , ribeye , and/or chicken thigh with leek . Their cold angel hair capellini with roe was yummilious. They have an extensive sake selection as well .
The grilled food is generally good. Sake and the golden ale are good too. Had the truffles angel hair pasta and squid too. Both are excellent, especially the former. Highly recommended.
Ribeye yakitori , foie gras was heavebly and prawn yakitori was amazing. You can expect consistency with Shuunju. Try angel hair and roe capellini !
Awesome place for a happy hour . Seats outside , delicious grilled options ( foie grad and cheese rolled with pork are my favorites) and super nice sake menu.
Went to Shunjuu Izakaya Sumiyaki with my friend for dinner and sake . It was lot of tender food and the flavors were great.Cristina, Writer at https://www.sbsgroup.com.sg
All the grilled skewers are tasty, even classics like chicken wings . I didn't like the oyster omelette too bland. Service crew are super friendly . This can be one of my favourite restaurant 😋🥰
You genuinely can’t go wrong with whatever you order but chicken meatball with egg yolk is a cannot miss.
Grilled onigiri (shoyu kushiyaki onigiri ) is excellent! Nice and crispy on the outside, moist in the center. Must try!
Love the fresh cabbage , grilled stingray and almost everything we ordered was good. Like the sake which the waitress recommended. Only minus was when it got more crowded , it was hard to get attention
The chef gave us a tasty free salad because the waitresses were too busy to take our orders. Sashimi was fresh and we enjoyed our dinner .
Genrei Gassan junmai daiginjyo from Yamagat (330ml) $59. Sweet medium bodied. Easy to drink
Toilets . None in the restaurant . You have to walk into an alley nearby (less than 50 steps) & find this hole in the wall . Gents & ladies are here
Scallop rolled with pork is yummy! Love the smokiness
Grilled dried puffer fish tastes like a softer, fishy version of “bak kwa” (BBQ dried meat, popular locally) — sweet & smoky
Great place for izakaya , well worth it if you are looking for quality but the waiting time is rather long. Not for the impatient and hungry souls.
Meat bar served with raw egg was interesting and flavourful
The oyster omelette is SO good! Must try.
Cozy and yummy. They are very kind!
Goose Liver ! Ask the wait staff for what kind of sake would good.
No Line if you come early. Skewers are perfect!
If you like salt, this is the best place to eat. All the meat is salty. If you want extra salt, dip into the sauces. Very good if you have high blood pressure. Chicken balls is dry, tori q is better.
Japanese Green Peppers are charcoal-grilled
Nice grilled salmon ...and would be nice if they have the Australian wine that I prefer... never! never order the softshell crab ... the crab ran away during the deep frying and all I got is FLOUR!!!
Love it. The charcoal grilled meats , cabbage , udon , goose liver . Mmmm.
Ribeye beef
Set lunches are all good
The sashimi is fresh, the charcoal grilled stuff oh so yummy. The udon is alright.
Goose liver melts in your mouth! Must try!
Stiitake mushroomss
Wonderful grilled stuff that makes good vegetarian fare !
Must try: udon to wafu gomadare (wheat noodles with sesame sauce ). Really good!!!
Lovely Japanese cuisine.
Nice izakaya style food.
My favourite izakaya !
Sake and ribeye
Try the suntory premium malt . Who sais Japs can not make beer ? :)
The paper pot beef is great!
The Buta Bara (pork belly ) is great.
Try the fish porridge . Great for when you're not feeling well .
Dreadful service..... Ordered, was left waiting for 30 minutes with no food..... When asked they hadn't put order into the system.... No apology and didn't want us to leave..... Never again!!
I like the charcoal grilled scallop
Try asahi black. Goes well with the food
Overpriced
