Special Noodles : Burmese flat noodles with coconut chicken , yellow peas powder, lime juice , onion , and fried thin noodle toppings.
I tried the Green Tea Salad (the authentic one without lettuce) and it was the best Asian salad I have ever had. I also tried the Mango Chicken which was good. Try an authentic tea for sure.
I had the mandalay special noodle which was absolutely an extraterrestrial party for my mouth. Exotic experience. I was impressed enough that I went here once more. My overall experience: 25/30
What we order every time and leave stuffed and happy: mohingna (fish chowder with noodles ), tea leaf salad , samusa, balada , mandalay special noodles , and a curry and/or veggie .
Favorite Burmese place in the city . The tea leaf salad stands out because they don’t add lettuce. Get the lamb curry and the balada . Skip the samusa soup here, it’s better at Burma Love.
My mom is from Burma, so I can safely say that this place has authentic Burmese food ! Try the Moo Hin Nga (Fish Chowder ) and the Ong No Kaw Soi (Coconut Chicken Soup ). Very flavorful dishes.
Make reservations or prepare to wait over an hour. Don't miss the starter pita or the mango chicken . Great use of spice and flavor that stays true to Burma, fun decorations & lively atmosphere
My favorite dishes here are: coconut curry soup , tea leaf salad , Burmese beef curry , and the pan fried green beans with tofu .
One of my favorite places. Saffron rice and balada are always on the receipt. Haven't had something I didn't like, just some more than others.
Unlike other places it's open before 5 pm. Food is great! Delish beef Rangoon , awesome noodles . Get jasmine flower tea , it's amazing✨.
Best Burmese food . Tea leaf salad is authentic . Black peppercorns er soup is our favorite
Go with 6+ people to try a lot of dishes. Tea leaf salad , rainbow salad , and a bunch of noodle plates.
Incredible. All the desserts are so tasty. Come here for your birthday and tell them you're there for your birthday; you won't regret it.
Tea Leaf Salad w/ Burmese Tea Leaves, Lentil Seeds, Ground Shrimp , Fried Garlic , Serrano, Sesame Seeds , Peanuts , and Dressing
Tea leaf salad was delicious and so were string beans and coconut rice . Our regular Burmese food order. However we were super bloated all day 😯
Less of a wait and better food than Burma superstar . The rainbow salad and volcano beef (off menu but definitely ask for it) are must haves.
Try the Chin Mong Jaw –sour vegetables sautéed with green chiles , prawns , and bamboo shoots . Burmese people come from all over for this one. No one else has that in the city . Read more
Expect a wait & don’t stray. They don’t work too hard to find who is next. BUT expect excellent service & delicious food. They aim to please.
Try the rainbow or tea leaf salad ! It's really good. Mandalay serves delicious food with fresh ingredients and the service is excellent.
If you like walnuts and are ordering vegetarian , you can't go wrong with the Tofu with Broccoli and Walnuts . Very flavorful, filling, and served with rice .
Fermented tea leaf salad , Mandalay chicken salad and spicy basil pork were all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious!
The staff is very efficient while also being kind. The jasmine flower tea comes in a wine glass so you can watch the bulb open up.
Tea Leaf salad , pumpkin and pork stew , walnut broccoli and special noodles . One of my favorite meals. It is so tasty.
Manadaly Special noodles are a must - and leave from for dessert (sticky rice or green tea ice cream ...or both)
Tea Leaf Salad , Volcano Lamb , and Dry Pan Fried Green Beans are excellent. Best Burmese food in SF.
Service was okay. But everything on their drinks menu was amazing. The noodles and the tea leaf salad was delicious!
Pretty great Burmese place one block from Burma Superstar . Try the suggested favorites. They really are good
Tea leaf salad is awesome - they mix it in front of you. My friends once waited 45 mins to get a table, while it took me the same amount of time to find parking .
Rainbow salad isn't nearly as gay as it sounds (I'm ok to say that hayy). They toss it at the table. Get it. Special noodles are like crack. Wash it down with sangria
Excellent food! Rainbow salad , smoked tea duck , pan fried okra prawn - everything's delicious.
Flat noodles are fantastic, but it's the same chicken as the curry so no real point in getting both
Tea leaf salad is fantastic, but make sure to ask for peppers on the side if not everyone in your party likes spicy food !
Best Burmese food in the city . Tea leaf salad , balata, mango chicken , are all amazing!
Get the tea smoked duck and green papaya salad . Skip the satay
Everything on the menu is delicious & yes, it’s better than Burma Superstar .
Delicious mango and papaya salads , Mandalay noodles , and curry lamb . Make reservations if you're going for dinner .
The mandalay noodles are out of this world. Tea tree salad , coconut rice and the jasmine leaf tea .
Really great food! We had a group of 6 and we got a family@platter that everyone really enjoyed.
Okra with prawns . Everything is delicious and a bit spicy .
Can go head to head with the popular Burmese Superstar. The tea leaf salad and the mango chicken are superb!
This is epic. The veg curry the green papaya salad are out of this world.
Equally as delicious alternative to Burma Superstar a few blocks away! Plus shorter wait :)
Try the Tea Smoked Duck - Amazing, #crispy , smoky #duck w/ little steam buns and greens to make "sandwiches " with. Utterly satisfying.
Delicious food and somewhat entertaining decor. Has some larger tables if you need that.
The Mandalay Special Noodle and Rainbow Salad are must-haves!
Very friendly - get the ginger salad for an interesting dish
fish chowder with noodles + string beans with seafood + paluda ice cream = best meal ever
Fish chowder and Kaw soi dok is super yummy!!
Get the Tea Leaf Salad ! (But remember to make sure they leave out the "grounded shrimps ")
Mandalay special noodles are good, Rangoon beef is great. Potions are small for the price.
The homemade mango soda is delicious, and the chicken curry is very good as well! - Haley Martin
Noodles as amazingly delicious as the service is surly. Order fast, east faster, leave happy! - Ashley Kemper
More spacious than the Richmond restaurant. Tea leaf salad, chicken and mint, steamed rockfish are awesome. - Sherry Li
Red bean shake with jelly is seriously a hidden gem to have. - Jacquelyne Li
A book for everyone! If you don't see what you're looking for, ask! The staff is very knowledgable. - Emily Massimi
Depth Charge is delicious, coffee with espresso. Yum! - Catherine M. 🍷
