Best time to come in is before 12PM. Seem to be bigger servings and not crowded yet. Didnt know they have lunch specials !, makes it even better. Beef bibimbop w the stew combo! My go-to for Korean.
The BBQ Combo 2 is incredibly good and enough for 3 if you get 1-2 appetizers with it.
Late night , it is quiet w/ friendly service . Around 6:30, the long line starts inside. It is stressful to eat w/ ppl eyeing you! Service is rushed and you are handed the bill before you are finished.
Get the Bibimbap . Great value for your money.
One of my favorite late night spots in NYC. Addicted to their Hae Mul Pa Jeon and Hae Mul Bibimbap . Seafood pancake and seafood rice bowl . Quick eats too
Love the veggie Jap chae and the short ribs most of all. If you get the tofu soup , make sure to ask for non-seafood as it’s too fishy otherwise. Stone pot with chicken was good but not great.
Nobody goes to Korean BBQ to relax, they go to eat amazing food and get rowdy with friends. Whatever you end up ordering, just make sure you add on the seafood pancake because its absolutely divine!!!
They moved from what is now Five Sense to across the street. Line is still long and the staffs are still rushing you. But they have tastier sides and egg casserole for BBQ .
Kunjip = the ultimate hangover preventer. Stop by at 4am for some budae jjigae and spicy starters and you're guaranteed to wake feeling as good as new. Or at least much better than you would otherwise
Everything is delicious here. Just make sure you go with someone who knows Korean food . The Bulgogi is on point
Worth the wait! Everything is great. BBQ meats are prepared by cheerful and friendly staff . Good place to have a fun gathering with friends.
Perfect after a night of drinking since it's open 24/7. I'm obsessed with the complimentary steamed egg . So good.
Love the new&bigger space, though the old one was super quaint. Everything is very good, kimchi or budae chigae are my go-to's.
Try the chicken bibi bop! Really quick with orders even though there was a 30 minute wait. Food fills you up and tastes amazing!
Very great Korean food . Their appetizers are one of the best in Korea town I have had. Bibimbap and seafood tofu soup are awesome.
As a vegetarian I was satisfied with the options they have. The Vegetarian stew was delicious.
Don't come here during rush hour, it's hot and they're always trying to force you out as soon as possible. Korean food and BBQ is best done comfortably and with friends!
Their kimchi is awesome. Their sundubu chige still is my favorite. Watch out its very fast service and they will push u out when your done to make room for other patrons...
Came here after a really late night . There was only one or two other tables so the service was quick. Food was delicious with large portions .
Don't bother coming here if you want to relax and enjoy a meal with friends. I'd recommend this place for anyone who wants to order on the sidewalk and leave immediately after the last person finishes
One of my favorite Korean restaurants in the city . The spicy soups are delicious. It's often crowded though.
The perfect group dinner : Galbi , Tteokboki, & Mandu. Perfect shareable dinner with a small group of friends.
Everything. And very accommodating. Walked in off the street with a party of 12, and they still only made us wait 30 mins.
The line at this local favorite for Korean food starts forming about 6pm on weeknights. Come early or be prepared to wait.
Got the yukgaejang lunch special . It was delicious. Staff seemed like they were trying to hurry us out though.
Great Korean food at any time of day or night. They'll only give you the free steamed egg (gaeran jim) if everyone orders an entree, but if you do, it's unlimited!
Now I know why people line up. Bulgogi was huge but even tho cooked at the table, it lacked a char flavor since dipped in white soup at base of BBQ . Seafood pancake was a bit soggy. Vege sides great.
Great stews (try Soon Dubu or Budae Chigae ), good service , and for the amount of food you get which includes post-meal dishes, it's pretty cheap . Expect lines during mealtimes.
The Kalbi Jim is really freaking good! But shit, when did this place get so popular. Get there early for anything or super late at night or be prepared to stay in line forever.
Love this place. Every time we're in NYC, we eat here and it's great each time.
I had the Haemul Gobdol Bibimbob and it had so much flavor!
Great Korean food and stays busy late nights . Great place to get a bite after drinking and karaoke
The stew was addicting but pretty sweet..i thought the place was fine but my friend saw server give food to one table who stuck their fork in it then took away and served to another table!!
I had bibimbob. Flavors are good but my “warm” dish was cool - probably because I chose a lunch special that was made too far in advance
Food was great and you know it was good because the place stayed packed with a line going out the door into the cold winter streets.
The Bim Bim Bop here is extremely good! That along with the free appetizers and your night is set.
Lots of great small dishes here. Spicy octopus was one of my favorites
My favorites are the yukgaejang in the winter and the mul naeng myun in the summer
japchae is fantastic, so is the ddeokboki bulgogi
The bbq is great and the cinnamon tea !
Got the steamed veggie dumpling and the veggie tofu bibimbap with egg . Was good
My favorite Korean spot, but be prepared for terrible customer service. Difficult to get any waiter 's attention, rarely refill drinks, and if you don't leave enough tip, they will hunt you down.
Great barbeque , a tad pricier but better quality! recommend the lunch specials !
I love this place for the comforting stews , especially the budae jigae
Don’t go here! I’ve never had a worse experience at a restaurant . They’re SO rude, the food is honesty pretty bad, long hair in the soondubu jjigae, and the place is crawling with cockroaches.
Somehow feel like it's smaller than the old Kunjip. People have to line up on the stairs to wait. Food hasn't changed though, still good.
It was busy at 5pm & got busier while there. Definitely do the BBQ . The meats are good.
Try the Soo Yuk. Go off-hours unless you like to be rushed.
The stirred pan-fried squid noodle is the best!
Get the combo with bimbimbap and spicy tofu soup ! Really hits the spot in winter :)
Watermelon soju!!!! And shrimp on salt and the crispy kimchee pancake - Being Fatty
Amazing grilled meat here..get bossam, got combo 2 for 4 girls and it was good amt..melt in your mouth! Service was great, it's a bit pricey but went for special occasion. - Christina Chin
Get lemon soju, pigs feet, ribs, seaweed rice and fried chicken. All very good. - Luke Pack
Favourite bakery in Korea Town! All pastries are fresh daily and their morning coffee and croissant combo is gold. - Sanam Lakhwara
For those who like to lounge, this lovely cafe serves fried hodduk and Toby's Estate coffee. Both are great! - Caro Chon
I've had over 6 cakes here and my strongest recommendation still goes out to the Blueberry Chiffon Cake. You can't go wrong! - Betty
