This place serves the best ramen I've ever had, and I've had a lot of ramen . You must get the tsukemen with char siu . The dipping broth, the pork , and the noodles are all so delicious and perfect.

LA Weekly

Best Ramen - 2012! Since opening last August it has become the most serious purveyor of Hakata tonkotsu in town , with noodle-loving crowds waiting outside the building at opening time. -Garrett Snyder Read more

Eater

Tsujita LA serves the best standard ramen and tsukemen in all of Los Angeles. The tsukemen might even be better than the ramen . Only available during lunch and cash only . [Eater 38 Member]

Morgan Smith

Try the tsukemen ! I have had the best tsukemen from ramen tatsuya in Austin Tx but this is the second best I’ve had in the states . Broth could be reduced more for a thicker consistency & deeper flavor

Eater

Both the standard ramen and tsukemen are the two best offerings in LA in either category. Formerly just a lunchtime affair, the original Tsujita now serves ramen day and night. Read more

Justin Ordoveza

The wait for a seat can be killer. The tsukemen is fantastic the noodles are nice and chewy and the pork is so rich and fatty. Great combo and different than your typical ramen house.

LA Weekly

The revelation at Tsujita, what separates it from every other Japanese restaurant in town , is the lunchtime ramen that float in soup made from chicken , fish and long-boiled kurobuta bones. Read more

Favourite place in Sawtelle. The noodles have a great chewy texture and the flavours of the soup are absolutely heartwarming.

Vivi Tao

So good! Get the char siu tsukemen and spicy tuna don. Matcha ice also deliciously refreshing. Expect a wait esp if you're with more than two. Noodle portions are large so come with an appetite

ian r

Deliciously rich ramen . Loved that you can get extra noodles & a top up of broth for just $1.50. Cos you'll definitely want more.

LAist

Tsujita quickly became the closest we could get to a consensus pick as the best of the ramen options available throughout the county . Try their heart tsukemen ramen . Read more

Tsukemen was ok, prefer tonkotsu . Noodles are really thick, broth is thick but good. Don't need to get char siu , broth has it. Egg was awesome. They make you wait outside which sucks when it's raining

Stacy Bo Bacy

Oh, wow, these are next level. The noodle consistency and rich broth flavor ???? Some of the best ramen I’ve had outside of Japan.

Adam Cheung

Wow what a tasty bowl of Tsukemen . First time trying this and it was absolutely delicious. Too bad they only serve that during lunch , but it's well worth the trip if you can make it.

Serious Eats

Smaller outpost of the ragingly popular Tsujita Ramen across the street, serving an abbreviated menu of shoyu ramen , tonkotsu ramen , miso ramen , and tsukemen dipping ramen .

Jeff Weinstein

Tsukemen with pork is great and a treat if you've never had it before. Each at the bar and ask for a soup refill. They have free valet parking . Mushrooms in the broth! Use the lime to cut the fat.

Chuan Qin

Best ramen I have ever eaten. Normally it takes up to 2 hours to get a seat, but the Tsukemen with Char Siu was worth the long wait .

Jacques

Tsukemen is a must here! They are famous for it. Soup full flavoured & combination with pork belly is a great meal. Accommodating service but small so you might have to wait

Kino

For wknd lunch , arrive before 11am when they open. Park in the valet lot in the back on Mississippi for free when you have your ticket validated. Order the Tsukemen with Ajitama & Charshu, Atsumori.

Kylie Matsumoto

So good but the broth is a little to fatty for me. I got the negi ramen (extra green onions ). Those pickle mustard greens are soooo good with the ramen . Perfect contrast!

Eater

One massively porky bowl at Tsujita is enough to convince anyone that Los Angeles is doing some of the best ramen in America.

RobTak

Been only once. Had the basic Tsukemen with egg . Noodles were great, thick, bordering on udon . Broth was tasty, a little tart/vinegary, could have been hotter (temp. not spice) but still good.

Connie Chiu

Ramen broth is so good and flavorful without being overbearing. The hardboiled egg is perfect. Small ish portions but filling.

Tom Brown

Anything is good here, I absolutely love this place. I take all my friends and family who come in from out of town and everyone always leave ridiculously full and happy!

Emil Indradjaja

The tsukemen style ramen is really good. The noodle is chewy, charsiu pork is good and the broth is super tasty.

Tim Deng

tsukemen is incredible here! ask for broth at the end to dilute the dipping sauce and turn it into soup

Los Angeles Times

Tsujita ramen is unbelievably good: gossamer noodles in a complex broth made with chicken , Kurobuta pork and a bit of dried fish . Read more

Jeff Solomon

Eat 1/3 of the noodles by dunking into the broth/gravy bowl. Then ask for more broth/gravy. Then dump the rest on top of the remaining noodles and enjoy.

Meilissa

Char siu ramen is the best. Add the spicy pickle side dish and be generous with it. Yumz!!

JT

The pork meat in the Tsukemen is amaazing. So tender and flavorful! This is a heavy and filling meal - be prepared. Noodles are perfectly chewy.

Julia Park

Best ramen ever!!! Go with the tsukemen ramen . It's the most popular & super good

Zeynep

Best ramen I've ever had..Though they just accept cash, its definitely worth it!

Matt Bernstein

Amazing ramen . The noodles are so chewy and good. Far and away the best I have ever had.

kapi 8020

Very famous noodle shop in Japan. Delicious! But they don’t accept credit cards. Only cash .

Jennifer Yip

first time here? get the tsukemen and a side of chasu don. you probably won't finish it but it's worth it to try both!

Midtown Lunch LA

You won't find a better tsukemen in all of L.A. Make sure to get the egg , and for the second third cover your noodles in chili pepper , the final third squeeze lime on the noodles .

Rachel Mercer

Worth the wait. Go on a Sunday early afternoon for best wait times. The soft egg with two scoops of red spice is choice.

CITY GRIT

Go all in on the Tonkatsu Ramen . And don't miss the Hot Leaf Mustard on the table!

Max

The greatest ramen of my life. The soup comes with pork so only get extra if you are starving.

Meilissa

Be considerate and take your chit chat elsewhere after you finish your meal. Don't be selfish and hog the seats while so many others are waiting

Yvonne Kwan

Tsukemen is all you need. Arrive half an hour before opening to put your name on the waiting list if you want to beat the lines .

Hau Tran

Chashu is fantastic here, the best of any ramen place I've had yet (incl Shinsengumi, Santouka, Yamadaya). I like tsukemen at Yamada-ya better though.

Kelley L.

I like the noodles here. Small place, long lines , but worth it.

Philip Tam

The wait is a little ridiculous at times but pass it by visiting the karaoke bar next door! The food is a great, though a bit on the high side for a bowl of ramen in LA.

LA Weekly

Tsujita serves Hakata-style ramen in bowls that won't overwhelm you, each component perfectly achieved Read more

Kyle Nakamura

The ramen is great but it's far from what normal ramen places serve in southern California. It's much more traditional by the looks of it.

LA Weekly

"Tsukemen is hip in all the usual ways, including obscurity, a stylized consumption ritual and flavor of an intensity that can be overwhelming the first few times out" -Jonathan Gold Read more

Saarim Zaman

The tsukemen with char siu pork is straight fire. Be sure to add the pickled greens to your broth for an extra kick.

Steven Y

Get the ajitama tsukemen , but ask for both the broth and the noodles to be extra hot

Calvin Ting

In addition to a spoonful of delicious tsukemen noodle , broth, and juicy char-siu, add some "hot mustard leaf" from the little jar. So good.
